The Trumpanyahu administration is pushing a “peace plan” for Gaza which critics are saying would damn Palestinians to permanent subjugation under the thumb of Israel. The proposed plan would see Gaza supervised by Trump and by war criminal Tony Blair, and Netanyahu is already saying that the deal will allow the IDF to remain in the Palestinian territory indefinitely.

The last time the US brokered a “peace plan” between Israel and Hamas, the US and Israel torched it in a few weeks, laid siege to the enclave, and announced a plan for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza. So even without all the major problems with the offer, there’s not going to be a whole lot of enthusiasm about it.

I’m seeing a lot of purportedly pro-Palestine voices proclaiming that Hamas needs to accept the deal in order to end the genocide. I personally will never tell Palestinians what they should do to address their abuse at the hands of the empire or what deals they should accept. My job as a westerner is to oppose the western empire that is butchering them, not to finger-wag and moralize at the empire’s victims...........more...........

Chaos reigns, as it is meant to do, as the Bill of Rights is stripped, Palestinians are slaughtered, nuclear war becomes more likely, and the crackdown on dissent increases dramatically under the second Trump administration. Today’s operation chaos, with its spying on American citizens, etc., makes the CIA’s previous illegal Operation Chaos (1967-74) spying operation seem quaint by comparison. The Palestinian group Hamas said Sunday that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is “an unwelcome figure in the Palestinian context,” stressing it has not received any proposal through mediators regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The remarks came from senior Hamas political bureau member Husam Badran published by the group on Telegram.

They followed a report in Israel’s Haaretz daily quoting an Arab political source as saying the US administration has drawn up a plan to appoint Blair to head a temporary administration in Gaza.

Badran said linking any plan to Blair “is an ominous sign for the Palestinian people,” describing him as “a negative figure who deserves to stand before international courts for his crimes, especially his role in the war on Iraq (from 2003–2011).”

He went further, calling Blair “the devil’s brother,” and said he “has brought nothing good to the Palestinian cause, the Arabs or the Muslims, and his criminal, destructive role has been well known for years.”

President Trump said Saturday he will send troops to Portland, Oregon, “authorizing Full Force, if necessary” to handle what he referred to as domestic terrorism.

Trump made his announcement on social media, using the language of war.

He wrote that he was directing the U.S. Department of War to “provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland.”

This marks a continuation of Trump’s unprecedented military deployments to American cities in the name of crime-fighting, only now it’s also being done for the stated purpose of combatting terrorism. That’s an important distinction and a definite escalation of the brewing tensions between the feds and Democrat-run cities.

Fighting “terrorism” as opposed to regular crime, is a much more serious mission. It carries potentially much more serious ramifications, particularly after renaming the Department of Defense the Department of War. If a rioter is arrested as a terrorist instead of a regular criminal, he or she would theoretically not be subject to all of the constitutional protections afforded in a regular criminal case, such as access to a lawyer, the right to due process, the right to remain silent, the right to a speedy trial, the right to a jury trial of one’s peers, and so forth.
