These numbers strain credulity for at least two reasons: 

1. During recent casualty exchanges, the numbers have been lopsided in the other direction, with Ukraine handing over the remains of fewer than 50 Russian troops while receiving the remains of hundreds or over a thousand of their soldiers in return.
2. Russia’s combat troops tend to be well-paid volunteers, while Ukraine has had to resort to grabbing men off the street to fill its military’s ranks. If Russia were really losing 14x as many men as Ukraine (as Trump’s figures suggest), one would figure military-age Russian men would be hiding from conscription squads, rather than casually walking around Moscow, enjoying a summer evening.

Lack Of Understanding Russia’s Position Explains It Too

Trump doesn’t seem to understand that Russia views the Ukraine conflict as existential, and as such, won’t deviate from its main terms: that Ukraine must be neutral, and not host NATO troops or weapons, and that it must be largely demilitarized, and that Ukraine recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea and the four oblasts it annexed. Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) threatened to remove from office Democrat lawmakers who fled to Illinois to block GOP Congressional redistricting.

Texas Democrats fled the state to block the Republicans in the legislature from holding a special session and to block a redistricting vote on Sunday.

The Texas Democrats reportedly fled to Illinois to break quorum to block the Texas House from holding a vote in a special session.

The new congressional map will add five GOP House seats.

The Texas Democrats pulled a similar stunt back in 2021.

Governor Abbott is not messing around.

“Democrats hatched a deliberate plan not to show up for work, for the specific purpose of abdicating the duties of their office and thwarting the chamber’s business. That amounts to an abandonment or forfeiture of an elected state office,” Abbot said.

CHARLOTTE — Police said 71 guns were stolen while being moved from Bessemer City to Alaska and the safes they were locked in were later found busted open along a road in north Charlotte. One of the stolen guns has already been recovered from a convicted felon, but the gun owner says he’s praying the rest don’t end up in the wrong hands.

The gun owner hired movers to get his things from Bessemer City to Fairbanks, Alaska.

He said he doesn’t know how it happened.

Police found the empty safes on Vance Davis Drive earlier this month.

The safes had dozens of firearms in them.

“Oh, I was devastated,” said the victim who didn’t want to be identified.

The victim is a gun collector. The safes were supposed to be stored in public storage off West Arrowood Road until they could be sent to Alaska.

However, they were found dumped nearly 20 miles away along an industrial road.

“I tried to do everything right by the law,” he said. “I kept them all locked up all the time and then, this happens, so now, it’s pretty bad actually.”

The police report lists all 71 guns with an estimated worth of nearly $40,000.

The moving company told police they hired two movers from Craigslist.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers pulled a car over in south Charlotte weeks after finding the emptied safes on the side of the road.

Sylvester Miller, a convicted felon, was in the car and officers said he had a gun.

The firearm was traced back to one of the stolen guns from those safes.

He’s now facing charges, but it’s not clear if he’s being investigated as a suspect in the theft.

The border has never been more secure, inflation has decreased, and the economy has shifted to benefit private sector American workers rather than foreign nationals and those in government.

However, Charlemagne, the co-host of “The Breakfast Club,” unsurprisingly had nothing positive to say about the president.

Stop the flow of oil to Israel. Turkey and Azerbaijan are the two biggest culprits in facilitating the genocide because they continue to provide Israel with petroleum and gas.

Hit Israel with tariffs. The US, China, Germany, Ireland, and India consistently rank among the top partners for both imports and exports. The US is Israel’s main export partner, while China leads in imports, followed by the US and Germany. China in particular can send a powerful message by cutting economic ties with Israel if it does not end the genocide.
