 he's right though the number of dead russian's i've heard from many sources is much higher;

The world owes the Soviet people a debt of gratitude for defeating the Third Reich, musician Roger Waters has told RT in an exclusive interview.

Waters, 80, is well-known as co-founder of the progressive rock band Pink Floyd and as an outspoken human rights advocate. He spoke with RT about the ongoing plight of the Palestinians in Gaza, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and censorship in the West, among other things.

“Weaken the Russian people’s resolve? Do you know who they are? They are the people who defeated the Wehrmacht!” Waters told RT, addressing the purported goals of the US and its allies in the Ukraine conflict.

“I’m talking to the good people of Russia. We’ve never really yet thanked them for beating the Germans in World War Two at the cost of 22 million dead,” Waters said. “We thank you, people of Russia, for that huge sacrifice that you made. And no, we didn’t win the war on D-Day, you won the war on the Eastern Front.”

British and American historians have long omitted the Soviet Union’s role in defeating Nazi Germany, de facto “erasing” it in favor of depicting the 1944 Normandy landings as the “turning point” of the war..........more.........

 lots here about judges i had no idea about;

In Rippo v Baker 589 US _, 137 S. Ct. 905, 197 L. Ed. 2d 167 (2017), the United States Supreme Court held that the Nevada Supreme Court erred by requiring evidence of actual bias to demand a judge’s recusal. The Court held that evidence of actual bias is not required to demand recusal of a judge. In this case, Rippo was sentenced to death after a Nevada jury convicted him of first-degree murder along with other charges.

Upon discovering that his trial judge may have been involved in federal bribes, Rippo suspected that the district attorney’s office was investigating the case. Rippo made a motion to disqualify the judge under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, stating that it was impossible for a judge to impartially adjudicate a case in which one of the parties was investigating him, but the judge declined to recuse himself. The trial judge was indicted on federal charges, and a new judge denied Rippo’s motion for a new trial.

On appeal, the Nevada Supreme Court affirmed the decision, holding that Rippo did not have evidence that state authorities were involved in the investigation. Pointing to documents from the judge’s own trial that supported his claim that the district attorney’s office had been involved with the investigation, Rippo sought postconviction relief. The court denied relief, and the Nevada State Supreme Court affirmed showing how courts hold that judges are really above the law.

Analysis: In Bracy v. Gramley 520 U.S. 899 (1997), a U.S. Supreme Court case involving a judge who accepted bribes to rule in favor of some defendants and against others who did not bribe him, the Court held that the petitioner was entitled to a discovery hearing. Although the nature of the case was speculative, the petitioner had alleged facts suggesting that his defense counsel may have schemed with the judge to rush the trial. The Nevada Supreme Court held that, unlike Bracy v. Gramley, since Rippo’s allegations did not support the assertion that the trial judge was actually biased, Rippo was not entitled to an evidentiary hearing.........more......

 gutfeld isn't shy;

Democrats and the media have actually been attacking the Gold Star families who recently invited Donald Trump to come with them to Arlington National Cemetery. It has been a disgusting display.

FOX News host Greg Gutfeld made this the focus of a recent monologue on his show and he did not hold back at all.

The media was really the focus of Greg’s anger as he ripped them for the dishonest way that the story was covered.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

GREG GUTFELD, FOX NEWS: So by now, you know the story about how Donald Trump was invited — invited — to attend a private service for those 13 American servicemen killed during our country’s needlessly rushed and chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan. It was to be held at Arlington National Cemetery. Joe and Kamala were also invited, but they didn’t respond, let alone show up. Kamala was too busy washing collard greens in her bathtub, ad if you want to get a message to Biden, you have to email the morgue.........more..........

I had to check the calendar when I heard the news that Merrick Garland, the testosterone deprived US Attorney General, announced:

a sweeping set of actions to tackle a major Russian government-backed effort to influence the 2024 US presidential election on Wednesday, including unveiling criminal charges against two Russian nationals, sanctions on 10 individuals and entities, and the seizure of 32 internet domains.

I mistakenly believed that the Biden crime crew had confused Ground Hog Day and April Fools. Nope. This was for real. It is a macabre version of Saturday Night Live’s “More Cowbell” skit.

Spurred by fear of Trump’s return to power, the Democrats decided to do a repeat of 2016 and claim that Russia is interfering in the 2024 election by using several media platforms — RT, being the most prominent — that do not broadcast in the United States. We’ve got to give the Russians credit where credit is due — for a scant (alleged) $10 Million, they are doing more to swing the election than the billion dollars the Democrats are pumping into the system. What a country! (Yakov Smirnoff reference)

At least during the Cold War we could laugh with a Russian. Now, the Russians are laughing at us. The Biden Administration’s new attack on Russia is sick and disgusting. The only government entities that have interfered in the US election in 2016 (and now, 2024) are the CIA, the FBI and the Department of Justice. Hell, DOJ refuses to enforce immigration laws and, by its inaction, is facilitating Democrats registering illegals to vote in the November election. Real chutzpah on the part of Garland.

I want to give a shout-out to Mary Huckaby, who posted the following comment on my YouTube channel. She nails it:...........more............

 i'm tired of posting about the collapse of israel but its like staring at a train wreck. you just can't take your eyes from it, and who really deserves it more might be a question but i can think of none;

News about offensive Israeli military operations has shifted, for the moment, from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank.

A series of Israeli raids and attacks against Jenin and other West Bank cities began last week and is continuing. Although the carnage in Gaza during the past 11 months is larger and still deserves the most attention, the new operations in the West Bank are a further escalation of what already was, during this same period, accelerated violence against Palestinian residents of the West Bank.

Since last October, at least 622 of those residents, including at least 142 children, have been killed, most by the Israeli military and the others by Jewish settlers. Fifteen Israelis died there during the same period.

The West Bank operations are a direct extension of what Israel has done so far in Gaza. Israeli foreign minister Yisrael Katz says that Israel “must deal with the threat just as we deal with the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, including the temporary evacuation of Palestinian residents and whatever steps are required. This is a war for everything and we must win it.”

The immediate ill effect of the newest Israeli operations — civilians suffering — also is the same as in Gaza though so far on a smaller scale. The suffering is not limited to the directly inflicted deaths and injuries. Many residents have been forcibly ejected from their homes. Medical care is impeded by a blockade of hospitals. Streets are bulldozed and other infrastructure needed for daily living is being destroyed.

Official Israeli statements, as is customary with Israeli statements, talk of “terrorists” as the targets, the elimination of whom is ostensibly the purpose of the military operations. But again, as in Gaza, most of the victims — directly when they become casualties, and indirectly from all the other consequences of the destruction and dislocation — are innocent civilians.

Undoubtedly there exist in the West Bank armed militants, deserving of the label “terrorist,” who wish to cause Israel harm. The Israeli military already has killed some of those militants and probably will kill some more. The presence of such individuals in the West Bank is unsurprising, given what in general leads people to turn to such violent ways and what specifically are the conditions to which Israel subjects residents of the West Bank. Over the long term — now more than half a century — the relevant condition is the oppression of those residents under Israeli military occupation of their homeland...........more.......

 israel is destroying itself and i say it couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch;

Israeli media cited a security source confirming that “Hamas has successfully restored its capabilities in the northern Gaza Strip.”

Reports indicate that an estimated 3,000 Hamas fighters “have resumed operations in the northern Gaza Strip and are actively working to enhance the organization’s operational capabilities.”

These estimates suggest that the issue involves Hamas recruiting new members in recent months, rather than transferring fighters from the southern to the northern part of the Gaza Strip. That said, senior officials in the security and military establishment have stated that a large-scale incursion into the northern Gaza Strip is becoming inevitable.

‘It is not Hamas that is collapsing, it is Israel’

In an article titled “It is not Hamas that is collapsing, but Israel,” published in Haaretz, retired General Yitzhak Brik offered a critical assessment of the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip. He underscored the significant and escalating losses “Israel” is facing, arguing that the war is exerting a far heavier toll on “Israel” itself than on Hamas.

He argued that soldiers are exhausted and are losing their skills for lack of training; especially since many are leaving their courses before completing them..........more.......

the federalies have been trying for some time to make this happen, to save us from unclean thoughts;

The global crackdown on free speech continues unabated and if you think it’s relegated to countries like China, Cuba and North Korea, think again.

A Brazilian Supreme Court panel on Monday upheld a decision to suspend Elon Musk’s social media platform X in the country.

Last Friday, Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered the platform blocked.

Since the decision, Musk and his supporters have tried to paint de Moraes as a renegade and an authoritarian censor of political speech. But Brazil is no outlier. The European Union is also cracking down on free speech with its Online Service Act and we have our own free-speech haters here in the United States.

In fact, one of them is a candidate for president.

Kamala Harris came out over the weekend and admitted in the wide open that she wants to see the same type of state-sponsored censorship implemented in the United States as what we see taking shape in Brazil.

The government, Harris believes, should have ultimate control over what you and I are allowed to post on the internet, as well as more control over what we are allowed to see and hear. She doesn’t trust us to decide for ourselves as to the truth or accuracy of what we see or read online..........more......
