As reported earlier House Republicans voted down their most popular and respected member, Jim Jordan for House Speaker today.

The Republican lawmakers held a secret ballot away from their voters and overwhelmingly decided to oust Jordan from the Speaker’s race.

The Republicans voted 112-86 in a secret ballot to oust the Ohio Republican from the race.

The House of Representatives has been without a Speaker for more than 2 weeks after Matt Gaetz filed a motion to vacate the chair. Kevin McCarthy was ousted as House Speaker earlier this month in a 216-210 vote. 8 Republicans voted to oust McCarthy: Biggs, Buck, Burchett, Crane, Gaetz, Good, Mace, and Rosendale.

Following today’s secret ballot, Kevin McCarthy, who was no doubt working behind the scenes endorsed Tom Emmer (MN) for House Speaker Friday afternoon.........more.........

During a recent monologue on his FOX News show, Jesse Watters took a hard but fair look at the state of America and the world on Joe Biden’s watch.

Watters takes apart Biden’s Oval Office address and points out its many flaws, including the things Biden left out about the funding for all the wars breaking out, and the fact that Biden is trying to paint himself as a wartime president when his policies are responsible for almost all of this.

Finally, he notes that Biden’s speech included nothing about the border or our rising crime problem.

Defense Minister Gallant outlines ‘three phases’ for Gaza operation

On Friday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told a parliamentary committee that the Israeli army’s impending ground invasion of Gaza will unfold across “three phases,” with the objective of creating a “new security reality” in Gaza.

This reality would see the pacification of Palestinian resistance and the decimation of Hamas’s military “infrastructure,” which would be achieved through the current devastating airstrikes, coupled with an as-yet forthcoming ground maneuver. A few days ago we published an article discussing how the Great Reset agenda is still moving forward behind the scenes, while the headlines are full of Israel-Palestine.

But it’s also true that, in its thirteen days of existence, the war itself has already pushed that agenda forward as well.

Normalising the suppression of dissent and creating a culture of fear around free expression are a major part of the Great Reset, after all the other steps are so much easier if you outlaw inconvenient protests.

The US cannot give Israel the arms it needs for a war with Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran — or even maintain its own forces — says a military veteran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared war on the Hamas movement that rules in the besieged Gaza Strip in the wake of the surprise attack by several allied militant groups on October 7.

The incursion and subsequent skirmishes — including with Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas on Israel’s northern border — has left almost 300 Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops dead with 200 more held captive in Gaza. around 1,000 Israeli civilians were also killed. That represents Israel’s worst losses since its 1982 invasion of southern Lebanon.

Tel Aviv has called up some 350,000 IDF reservists and has bombed Gaza for almost two weeks in preparation for a ground offensive, which Economy Minister Nir Barkat said had been given the “green light” on Thursday. But that invasion has yet to materialise.

Former US Marine and UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter told Sputnik the IDF simply “can’t go into Gaza.”

“If they go into Gaza, they will be slaughtered by Hamas who has deliberately set this trap,” Ritter stressed. “Hamas is waiting for them to come in. Hamas will kill them in large numbers.”

As I analyze the two wars underway, my practice is to look for similarities and disparities. I want to suggest that the war in Ukraine provides a benchmark for evaluating what is unfolding in Gaza. Let me start with civilian casualties because I believe that is a critical variable that is going to work in favor of Palestinians and against Israel.

The ubiquity of social media around the world makes it very difficult to obfuscate what is taking place on the ground in the two wars. Since the start of the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, Western intelligence has been working with Kiev to push social narratives portraying Russia as a gross violator of human rights. The “massacre” in Bucha last year is a case in point. Ukraine and the West repeatedly have accused Russia of bombing schools and hospitals and showing no regard for civilian casualties. One big problem, however. We have never seen a flood of images and videos like those coming out of Gaza showing the mangled bodies of children, women and elderly. Is anyone prepared to argue that Russia has been purging these images taken on territory controlled by Ukraine? The facts don’t support that position.

If Russia really had caused a massive number of civilian casualties I believe we would have seen those photos and videos all over the internet. We have not. We know that Ukraine and the West accused Russia of bombing a maternity hospital in Mariupol allegedly filled with pregnant women. Subsequent information proved that the expectant mothers had been evacuated from that hospital well before Russia hit it and that members of the Azov battalion had taken shelter there. Since then we have had no further legitimate claims of Russia bombing a hospital filled with civilians...........more..........
