     The business model is broken. We’re a shadow of the industrial economy that won a great war and enjoyed a boisterous peace. You can’t replace ball bearing factories with theme parks and hedge funds. Sorry. The full faith and credit of the USA is not embodied in those frivolities, so our money is losing its mojo fast.

    But get this: we will go on. This is not the end of the world or the end of history. It is the end of an era. Believe it or not, the economy will fix itself, it just won’t be what it was in 1957. It won’t be what the techno-supremacists think, either. (You need a dependable electric grid to run all those server farms and the apps they serve, and the AI supposedly looming.) It will fix itself because when things fail, as they are doing now, a lot of opportunities will open up to do things differently, even very differently.

    When the chain stores fail along with their twelve-thousand-mile supply lines, Americans will figure out how to find stuff, make stuff, move stuff, and sell stuff at a smaller scale, maybe back on your Main Street (if it’s still there). There will be a lot less stuff, of course. But it may be enough stuff, and some of you will be busy making stuff of some kind. Imagine an economy where practically everybody has a useful role to play. Do you know how much more important it is to lead a purposeful, acrtive life of than to be lost in leisure and anomie with more stuff than you know what to do with? The Gateway Pundit reported on the charges against 24-year-old college student and decorated Marine veteran Daniel Penny in the death of serial felon Jordan Neely.

While the media has tried to portray Neely as a harmless Michael Jackson Subway crooner, a witness who was on the subway with Neely and Penny during their encounter is calling Penny a hero and claiming that he saved people’s lives.

The witness shared what she saw, “I’m sitting on a train reading my book, and, all of a sudden, I hear someone spewing this rhetoric. He said, ‘I don’t care if I have to kill an F, I will. I’ll go to jail, I’ll take a bullet.”.......more.......

Oath Keepers founder and political prisoner Stewart Rhodes was sentenced on Thursday, May 25th, in Washington, DC.

Far-left Obama-appointed US District Judge Amit Mehta on Thursday sentenced Rhodes to 18 years in federal prison.  This was after he added extra years to his sentence because he believed Rhodes’ actions amounted to terrorism. This was completely ludicrous. The soulless judge then lectured him on what a danger he was to society.

Rhodes is currently 57.  If this kangaroo court’s conviction stands, Rhodes will be 75 when he is released.

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes:

• He NEVER went inside the US Capitol on January 6.
• He never instructed anyone to go inside the US Capitol.
• He was unarmed as were all of his Oath Keeper associates that day.
• They left their weapons outside of the city in their hotel rooms.
• There was no plan to enter the US Capitol.
• The few Oath Keepers who entered the US Capitol assisted police.
• There was no scheme to take over the government with their bare hands.
• There were no pre-planning meetings on how they were going to take over the Capitol.
• The prosecution was a sham.

 the russians have no need to engage with what has usually been fruitless conversation with the empire;

I know that some in the West are suggesting that there may be a way to negotiate and end to the war in Ukraine and I think they do not understand what Russia is now likely to demand to secure such a deal. For starters, will Russia insist on securing the rights to all territory east of the Dnieper River and on a special status for Odessa? I think so. Odessa would no longer be ruled by Ukraine. I also would expect Russia to demand (non-negotiable) the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the murder of 42 Russian speaking Ukrainians in 2014 who sought refuge in the Trade Unions House.

I also would expect that Russia will demand the dismantling of NATO Aegis missile systems in Poland and Romania and a ban on U.S. or NATO troops being posted in countries that share a border with Ukraine. In light of Russia’s stated goal of de-nazification I would not be surprised if Russia demands the laws of Ukraine be changed and that Nazi-affiliated parties and symbols be banned.

Until Ukraine suffers an irreversible defeat on the battlefield, I think there is little incentive for the United States and its NATO allies to entertain any of the positions outlined above. What worries me is that the Biden Administration has pinned so much of its re-election strategy on a success in Ukraine that it will do something stupid and escalate by using U.S. military personnel to pilot combat aircraft or tanks or Bradley fighting vehicles. This means American military personnel will die in significant numbers in Ukraine and potentially generate political pressure in the United States to expand the war. However, if Biden orders U.S. military troops into battle in Ukraine without Congressional approval I think it will ignite a political firestorm in America that will consume what remains of his Presidency.

The West is failing to grasp the reality that Russia believes it is winning the war in Ukraine and that it is not suffering economic or political damage at home. And, when you factor in the international arena, the war has proven to be a boon for Russia’s efforts to help create a new international financial/trade system that circumvents Washington’s control. A 20-year-old man from Rochester, Minnesota, will spend less than six months in jail for raping two girls aged four and nine.

Mohamed Bakari Shei was sentenced to 176 days in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on Monday for two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with someone under 13, reported KIMT. Shei entered an Alford plea in Dec. 2022, pleading guilty while maintaining his innocence but acknowledging the evidence against him would cause a jury to convict him.

In addition to the jail sentence, District Judge Jacob Allen gave Shei 30 years of supervised probation and 200 hours of community work service, according to the report. Shei pled guilty to raping a nine-year-old girl several times beginning on Mother’s Day 2018 and another girl around four or five years old in 2021, reported the Post Bulletin.

Olmsted County Senior Attorney Thomas Gort said Shei’s plea deal included a stay of adjudication and no prison time to prevent him from prolonging his prosecution, according to the report. Shei could have challenged his status of being tried in adult court since he was around 16 years old when he committed the rapes.

“With good behavior, Shei will serve, at most, 116 days in Olmsted County Adult Detention Center,” the report stated. “His jail sentence will begin Feb. 13, 2023. Shei was also ordered to undergo a sex offender program and complete 200 hours of community service.”

At Shei’s sentencing hearing, one of his victims gave a statement about her experience dealing with the sexual assaults. “There is no moving on or getting over it. I’ve tried,” she said, according to the outlet.

A family member of one of Shei’s victims told him he would “answer” for the sexual assaults that caused the child to become detached and introverted, the report stated.

“Some day you will have to answer for his egregious act against a child,” they told Shei in court.
