Leading up to President Biden’s State of the Union speech, reporters speculated about how much time, if any, he would give to the Southwest border crisis. The answer is now known. From his one hour, 12 minutes, and 40 seconds-long speech – the eighth-longest SOU address of the last 60 years, and exceeded only by President Bill Clinton, four times, and President Donald Trump, three times, Biden spent about 60 seconds on his open border debacle. Some analysts said that the brief one-minute reference proved that Biden is indifferent to America’s eroded sovereignty that the border chaos created. Others claimed that the border mess is too embarrassing for Biden to acknowledge, and the less he said, the better for him, and his fellow Democrats.

At about the one-hour mark, Biden launched his foray into immigration. Biden shouted out: “America’s border problems won’t be fixed until Congress acts.” He then spoke more specifically about the direction in which he wants Congress to act. “If we don’t pass my comprehensive immigration reform, at least pass my plan to provide the equipment and officers to secure the border and a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, those on temporary status, farm workers, [and] essential workers.”.........more........

Thirteen years ago I knew very little about Israel-Palestine. Like most Americans, this seemed to be a distant, confusing conflict that had little to do with me. I was unaware –again, like most Americans – that American taxpayers give Israel over $8 million per day, more than we give to any other nation. [Now over $10 million per day.]

I was unaware that our nation has vetoed numerous United Nations efforts to reign in Israeli aggression; resolutions that were supported by almost every other country around the world. I was unaware that US actions were enabling a massive land theft and ongoing ethnic cleansing that has caused profound tragedy in the Middle East, deep damage to our own nation and endangered American lives.

My personal awakening to these facts and others began in the autumn of 2000 when the Palestinian uprising known as the Second Intifada began and was, for a while at least, in the American news. I grew curious about this conflict, determined to follow the news on it, and noticed quickly how one-sided the news coverage appeared to be. While we heard from and about Israelis frequently, the Palestinian side seemed to be largely glossed over at minimum, and was sometimes completely hidden...........more...........

I came from a “do-gooder” family and was fed the story of black victimization for years. I truly believed it with all my heart and decided to become an inner-city teacher. I was determined to help right the wrongs done to these poor kids by “institutional racism” and do my part to educate them and help them escape from the yoke of oppression. Boy, oh boy, was I in for a rude awakening! From day one, my work life was a living hell. The young teens destroyed property, brutalized one another, and intimidated the staff. I caught teenagers smoking crack, 13-year-olds having sex in the bathroom, and kids bringing guns to school. Anyone who tried to learn and behave was beaten for “trying to act white,” and several girls who were known to be virgins were sexually harassed by boys and bullied by other girls until they would have sex. Neither the teens nor their parents placed any value on education, bettering themselves, or moving ahead in life. They were convinced that the white man was “keeping them down,” and that it was no use bothering, anyways. I eventually stopped insisting on parent-teacher conferences for the black students because not a single parent would show up. Ever.

I was constantly threatened by students and physically assaulted on several occasions. One time, a 15-year-old black girl got angry at me because I told her to stop texting during class. She stood up on her desk and started performing a strip tease. By the time security arrived, she was down to her underwear and the black boys were surrounding her, howling like wolves, and stuffing dollar bills down her panties.

At lunch, the teachers would practically run to the faculty lounge and cower for the entire break, nervously trading the day’s horror stories with each other. Classrooms would constantly be broken into during breaks and their contents either stolen or vandalized. The school lost two kids that year to drive-by shootings. One was actually shot on school grounds one weekend. The other, a quiet, well-behaved kid, was killed when he got curious about the sounds from a drive-by, and went to his window to see what was causing the noise.........more.........

Washington’s Democrat Attorney General, Bob Ferguson, wants to be governor.  He thinks the best way to accomplish his goal is to build gulags & psych hospitals, much like in Soviet Russia, and populate them with Christians, Conservatives and Republicans.  If House Bill 1333 passes and Democrat Governor Jay Inslee signs it (he will), Ferguson’s office will have the power to arrest and/or civilly commit anyone for uttering “wrong” facts.  This is a terrifying plan to redefine “domestic terrorism” to punish “conservative” speech.

Ferguson seems especially afraid of “older” Americans because they have more knowledge of and respect for the Bill of Rights THAT EXISTS IN NO OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH: “What can we do to prevent the radicalization of folks who are a bit older, in their 40s, their 50s, their 60s?  And help them to get out of that if they are radicalized.”  He mentioned forced counseling.
