A European financial research company has sent me one of their quarterly research letters. It is a 'contrarian review of political and military ramifications' of the war in Ukraine. It analyzes 'winners and losers' of the war.

It is contrarian only in the sense that it counters the false views of 'western' mainstream media with reality. The losers of the war are all on the 'western' side with the only two winners being the owners of the U.S. defense industry and Russia.

I was sent the courtesy copy because, as the company writes, the discussions at Moon of Alabama were "immensely helpful" in forming their view.

Note to the authors: You are welcome.

I will not quote from the paper as it seems to be a somewhat confidential business product. But I will steal two graphics from it that will help to understand the size of the war in Ukraine and how it will NOT end.

There have been theories that Poland or some U.S. led coalition force would intervene with their troops on the ground in Ukraine to 'kick the Russians out'.

You are not supposed to be an independent thinker, and you are definitely not supposed to come to your own conclusions.  When the corporate media decides that some really weird event that has just happened is “just a coincidence”, you are supposed to go along with it without asking any questions.  In fact, if you do decide to challenge the dominant narrative on a particular issue, there is a very good chance that you will be labeled a “conspiracy theorist”.  And you certainly wouldn’t want that, would you?

more than a hundred food processing facilities around the country have been destroyed in various ways, mostly fire, in the last year. tucker speaks about this in the video in the article;

Just this past weekend, there was a massive fire at an egg farm in Connecticut.

At 7am on the 26 January, Abdullah Mousa heard gunshots ringing through the camp. He leapt out of bed, rushing out the front door to “defend” the camp from what would become the deadliest Israeli army raid to take place in the West Bank in years.

But Abdullah never came home. His mother has not slept since he was killed. “I just stay up all night praying for him. All I can do is pray,” Arwa told Middle East Eye.

“It should have only taken two minutes to get him to the hospital,” she said. "Every day there are martyrs on top of martyrs. They don't show mercy to anything. Not to the elderly, the young, the trees, the houses, nothing," she continued.

Between prayers for her son, Arwa said that Abdullah always knew he would end up a “martyr”, and that growing up surrounded by so much pain and death inflicted by Israel's occupation had “consumed him”.

As confirmed by a high-level US establishment source, a new directive on NATO vs. Russia in Ukraine was relayed to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Blinken, in terms of actual power, is nothing but a messenger boy for the Straussian neocons and neoliberals who actually run US foreign policy.

The secretary of state was instructed to relay the new directive – a sort of message to the Kremlin – via mainstream print media, which was promptly published by the Washington Post.

In the elite US mainstream media division of labor, the New York Times is very close to the State Department. and the Washington Post to the CIA. In this case though the directive was too important, and needed to be relayed by the paper of record in the imperial capital. It was published as an Op-Ed (behind paywall).

The novelty here is that for the first time since the start of Russia’s February 2022 Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine, the Americans are actually proposing a variation of the “offer you can’t refuse” classic, including some concessions which may satisfy Russia’s security imperatives.

Crucially, the US offer totally bypasses Kiev, once again certifying that this is a war against Russia conducted by Empire and its NATO minions – with the Ukrainians as mere expandable proxies........more.........

Washington’s Power Will Decline With the Dollar

Saudi Arabia’s recent announcement that the government is open to accepting payment for oil in currencies other than the dollar is a major announcement ignored by the presstitutes.  The end of the petrodollar would have severe adverse effects on the value of the dollar and on US inflation and interest rates. 

For a half century the petrodollar has supported the value of the US dollar and ensured financing for America’s large budget and trade deficits. By billing for oil in dollars, the Saudis guaranteed a worldwide demand for US dollars.  Without this demand for dollars, the constant increase in the US money supply would have eroded the dollar’s exchange value in terms of other currencies.  As the US has offshored so much of its production for home use, the US is import-dependent, and the widening trade deficit would have eroded the dollar’s exchange value and resulted in high inflation.

Similarly, as the world needed dollars for oil payments, countries held dollars in the form of interest bearing US Treasuries rather than currency, and this made financing easy for large US budget deficits.  

The petrodollar supported the continuing role of the dollar as world currency after President Nixon closed the gold window in 1971, in effect ending the Bretton Woods system following WW II that gave the US dollar the reserve currency role.  Under Bretton Woods, foreign central banks had the right to demand US gold for their dollar holdings.  When France made this demand, Nixon abrogated the Bretton Woods agreement.  To save the dollar’s value and its reserve currency role, the petrodollar system was created.........more........

When news broke that Tyre Nichols, a black man, was killed by 5 Memphis police officers, liberal media was ecstatic.  Here they thought was another George Floyd case that the presstitutes could use to whip up hatred and burn down some more white business districts in US cities.  The presstitutes were disappointed to learn that all five cops were black.

This stopped them, but not for long. CNN rushed to the rescue with the headline: “The police who killed Tyre Nichols were Black. But they might still have been driven by racism.”  As the CNN story put it, blacks are also racist against blacks, because white “society’s message that black people are inferior, unworthy, and dangerous is pervasive.”  Evil white society has even created black racial hatred of blacks.  https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/27/opinions/tyre-nichols-memphis-police-department-jones/index.html 

The same week white cops shot a white man seven times for no reason in the doorway of his home while his wife looked on in horror. The police excuse is their claim they had heard gunfire and for unknown reasons concluded Jason Kloepfer was responsible and was holding a hostage, none of which was true. The New York Post carried the story–https://nypost.com/2023/01/23/unarmed-disabled-man-jason-kloepfer-shot-by-cops-video/ –but otherwise you had to learn about it from the British media.  There were no NPR or CNN specials on white cops shooting white people.  It doesn’t fit the official narrative constructed by the white liberal media whores, who have devoted their lives to teaching black Americans to hate white Americans.  Interest in police shooting is limited to black victims, and the cause is always white racism even if the cops are black.
