A cartoon illustrates the sort of person who would benefit from Biden’s Build Back Better programs: “Linda,” a white woman, who works at a manufacturing plant but struggles to raise her son, “Leo.”

One thing the White House’s official press release did not mention is that almost all of the $2 trillion doled out under BBB is expressly designated for Black, Latino, Native American, Asian American, Pacific Islander and non-English speaking individuals. White Americans will get nothing and like it.

On the outskirts of the town of Beita, south of Nablus city in the northern occupied West Bank, a young man in a grey hoodie crouches behind some trees, moving discreetly through the olive groves that cover the hilly terrain.

To a passerby, Ammar Hamayel, 30, might look suspicious, like he’s doing something he’s not supposed to. 

In reality, Hamayel is just trying to get to his family’s olive groves on Jabal Sabih, or Mount Sabih, on the outskirts of his hometown of Beita. 

“It’s crazy that I have to sneak around and act like a criminal just to go to my family’s land and pick our olives,” he told Mondoweiss. “I’m not the thief, they are,” he says indignantly, pointing at a cluster of white caravans on the top of the mountain, and a group of armed Israeli soldiers patrolling the area. 

“We have all the papers to prove this land is ours, dating back more than 100 years,” Hamayel said. “But because they say they are ‘the chosen people’, they can just come and steal my land, and tell me I’m not allowed to go there anymore. How is that fair?” he asked. 

Hamayel is one of hundreds of Palestinians from Beita who have been unable to access their land on Jabal Sabih ever since a group of Israeli settlers established an illegal outpost on top of the mountain in May.  

Although the settlers were evacuated in the summer, the outpost is still standing and Israeli soldiers have maintained a constant presence in the area. It’s all just such bullshit. As any long-time reader of this site is aware, the democratically-elected president of the Ukraine was overthrown in a coup organized by the US State Department and the EU in 2014. These people were literally paying Ukrainian thugs and neo-Nazis 50 euros a day to riot and attack the cops. Then there was a conspiracy involving the shooting of ZOG-backed rioters by a secret assassin who was never arrested. The people organizing the protests said that the government had ordered the assassinations, and the rioters rushed the government buildings and overthrew the elected government. Then a new entirely Jewish government was established by the West.

Everyone knows this happened. Everyone knows that the current government of the Ukraine was not put in power by elections. But they just lie about it.

But even if it was true, and it’s a real democracy – so what? Who cares? Do you care?
