just a few things you might want to think about in their urgency;

That we can find the money for war but not for coronavirus relief exposes the moral rot at the center of U.S. politics, a rot that must be dug out and expunged if we are to get through this crisis.

Congress Is Deadlocked on Covid Relief But Came Together to Fund the Pentagon for $740 Billion, There is always money for war.   Common Dreams,  December 04, 2020

The annual approval of the gargantuan U.S. military budget is one of the most reliable rituals in Congress. It is so ordinary and overwhelmingly bipartisan, it’s barely considered newsworthy, and few outlets follow the details of exactly how much the government is allocating to a nuclear weapons buildup, or deployments to the Asia Pacific, or the steady creep of U.S. military bases across the continent of Africa. Even under President Trump, when the Democratic leadership claims to have struck a more confrontational posture, those same leaders have repeatedly handed him bloated military budgets, as we saw Wednesday with Congress’ bicameral approval of a roughly $740 billion military budget for 2021........https://stuartbramhall.wordpress.com/2020/12/07/usa-republicans-and-democrats-cant-agree-on-funding-to-help-covid-9-victims-but-theres-always-money-for-war/

 this essay explores the worship of science and where that might lead, or not, centered in this case on the covid crap;

If there were a Mount Rushmore to memorialize the greatest scientists in US history, Richard Feynman’s face would almost certainly be on the monument.

He was only 24 years of age when he was recruited into a secret research group that eventually became part of the Manhattan Project, joining some of the other most prominent scientists of his age, like Robert Oppenheimer and Enrico Fermi.

Feynman went on to make unparalleled advances in the fields of particle physics and quantum mechanics. He conceived of nanotechnology as early as the 1950s, and quantum computing as early as 1982.

Feynman also won the Nobel Prize, plus countless other awards and medals; and he was ranked by leading scientists as one of the greatest physicists of all time– alongside Einstein, Isaac Newton, and Galileo.

In short, Feynman knew what he was talking about when it came to science............read more......

 here is more evidence that the masks don't do what those who push them say they do;

An overlooked study published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggests that cloth face coverings or masks are mostly ineffective in preventing the spread of the Chinese coronavirus as promoted by public health officials.

The CDC conducted the study, largely ignored by the media, in the U.S. in July and made its findings public in September. It compared 154 “case-patients,” those who tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus disease), and a control group of 160 “control-participants,” those who were symptomatic but tested negative.

CDC researchers examined participants who reported wearing a cloth face covering or mask at least 14 days before illness onset, which falls into the incubation period of 2–14 days estimated by the agency.

The researchers found that 71 percent of the case-patients contracted the virus despite reporting “always” wearing a cloth face covering or mask at least 14 days before illness onset, and 14 percent contracted the virus despite reporting “often” wearing one at least 14 days before illness onset...........read and watch more......

 guilty or innocent doesn't matter to some cops sometimes and here's a interesting example;

Ithaca, NY — As TFTP reports on a regular basis, being entirely innocent is no defense against police violence. All too often, we hear from the police state apologists who repeat the phrase, “if you don’t want to get killed by police, don’t break the law.” Not only is statement entirely flawed from its premise — as breaking the law is not justification for execution — but these folks are ignoring the cases in which entirely innocent people have been caught up in police violence. As the following case illustrates, this sort of thing happens so much, it is even captured on their own body cameras.

Ithaca Police Officer, Sergeant Kevin Slattery was suspended this month because his own body camera recorded him talking about beating a man, who would later be proven innocent, as well as planting evidence.

The comments were made in October, but have only recently come to light, prompting police Chief Dennis Nayor to go on the defensive and suspend Slattery.

“As the Chief of Police, I am thoroughly disappointed in the statements made by this Sergeant. They are wholly inconsistent with our values and culture. I took swift action to suspend the involved Sergeant, and in consultation with the Mayor and City Attorney, I will seek to impose appropriate discipline,” said Nayor........read and watch more......

 any remnants of democracy in practice here in the empire perished with this latest 'selection' and this essay presents some thoughts on that;

I predicted that Trump would win a close election. I didn’t have the same conviction as I did in 2016, but I still gave him the slight edge while allowing for the real possibility of a Biden victory.

That wasn’t trying to have it both ways. It’s just that there were so many wild cards involved that made it exceptionally difficult to nail.

What happened?

Well, I was correct about it being a close election. I was correct about the acrimony and litigation around issues like mail-in ballots, dead people voting, etc. And, I was correct that the winner might not be declared for weeks.

So, I got the process and the dynamics right, but the outcome seems likely to be Biden, not Trump.

There’s still a longshot chance that Trump prevails depending on the evidence his team can present in the coming days, but for now, we’ll assume that Biden won.

When the forecasts are off, I don’t blame the models I use. They’ve been proven to be highly reliable in the past.

My models told me the polls were wildly wrong (they were), that “shy Trump voters” would turn out (they did), that Blacks and Hispanics would vote in larger numbers for Trump than expected (they did), that Trump had momentum and higher enthusiasm (he did), and that the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation to the Supreme Court would motivate Trump support (it did).

I expected that Republicans would have a stronger ground game in terms of registration and turnout efforts, that Trump would be helped by a majority of voters saying they were “better off” than they were four years ago, and that anecdotal evidence such as lawn signs pointed in Trump’s favor.

Voter registration, turnout, enthusiasm and the structure of the Electoral College itself (which gives disproportionate weight to states with smaller populations) all favored Trump.

If I was right about those factors favoring Trump, what did I miss? There’s a one-word answer to that: Fraud.

I certainly expected some fraud, there always is. Political rogues have been stuffing ballot boxes since the invention of the ballot. But, I gave this a weight of one or two percent at most.

What appears to have happened in the election of 2020 is fraud on a scale that has never happened in the United States before.

The magnitude of the voting fraud appears to have been on the order of five to ten percent of the votes cast, enough to swamp an otherwise substantial Trump lead in the crucial swing states.

This was not factored into my models, and it accounts for the unexpected result.

The question of voting fraud has implications far beyond the outcome of the 2020 election. If the fraud is successful, if it continues, and if steps are not taken to eliminate it, then democracy in America is dead. That’s a topic for another day.........http://www.silverbearcafe.com/private/12.20/fraud.html

 mr smith sums up quickly why we won't be returning to anything called 'normal' and its coming on fast;

December 7, 2020

Sorry Fed, it's too late. The dominoes are already toppling, and every point of failure is being exploited by the catalyzing effects of Covid.

America's many points of failure--leverage points where a break brings down the entire system--are falling like dominoes, a process catalyzed by Covid. These systemic points of failure have been masked for the past 20 years by the widespread distribution of trillions of dollars, either printed or borrowed.

There's no point of failure that can't be glued together or covered up a bit longer with fountains of cash. That's the American way of solving problems: just throw more money at it.

Unfortunately for America, substituting borrowed trillions for real problem-solving generates its own set of problems, problems that increase the system's vulnerability to collapse. Healthcare / sickcare is a leading example of this: as the corruption, pay-to-play and profiteering deepened, the federal government's endless borrowed trillions boosted healthcare / sickcare from 5% of the nation's economy to roughly 20% today.

Covid Is Revealing the Cancerous Underbelly of U.S. Healthcare.

As I've noted for a decade, this has created an enormous fragility: healthcare is now so immense that it will bankrupt the nation all by itself. (see charts below) Once the corrupt, pay-to-play, profiteering sectors such as healthcare and banking become "too big to fail," then the Federal Reserve and Treasury are obliged to bail them out or continue funding their spiraling-out-of-control demands.

Speaking of "too big to fail," look at the voracious monster the Fed's endless monetary goosing has incentivized--a financial system addicted to Fed "free money," soaring debt, accelerating leverage and near-infinite speculation.........read more...

 mr whitehead explains why those in charge are the body snatchers and won't stop by themselves. their goal is total control of all you do, and its in process;

It’s like Invasion of the Body Snatchers all over again.

The nation is being overtaken by an alien threat that invades bodies, alters minds, and transforms freedom-loving people into a mindless, compliant, conforming mob intolerant of anyone who dares to be different, let alone think for themselves.

However, while Body Snatchersthe chilling 1956 film directed by Don Siegel—blames its woes on seed pods from outerspace, the seismic societal shift taking place in America owes less to biological warfare reliant on the COVID-19 virus than it does to psychological warfare disguised as a pandemic threat.

As science writer David Robson explains:.......read more.......
