 any remnants of democracy in practice here in the empire perished with this latest 'selection' and this essay presents some thoughts on that;

I predicted that Trump would win a close election. I didn’t have the same conviction as I did in 2016, but I still gave him the slight edge while allowing for the real possibility of a Biden victory.

That wasn’t trying to have it both ways. It’s just that there were so many wild cards involved that made it exceptionally difficult to nail.

What happened?

Well, I was correct about it being a close election. I was correct about the acrimony and litigation around issues like mail-in ballots, dead people voting, etc. And, I was correct that the winner might not be declared for weeks.

So, I got the process and the dynamics right, but the outcome seems likely to be Biden, not Trump.

There’s still a longshot chance that Trump prevails depending on the evidence his team can present in the coming days, but for now, we’ll assume that Biden won.

When the forecasts are off, I don’t blame the models I use. They’ve been proven to be highly reliable in the past.

My models told me the polls were wildly wrong (they were), that “shy Trump voters” would turn out (they did), that Blacks and Hispanics would vote in larger numbers for Trump than expected (they did), that Trump had momentum and higher enthusiasm (he did), and that the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation to the Supreme Court would motivate Trump support (it did).

I expected that Republicans would have a stronger ground game in terms of registration and turnout efforts, that Trump would be helped by a majority of voters saying they were “better off” than they were four years ago, and that anecdotal evidence such as lawn signs pointed in Trump’s favor.

Voter registration, turnout, enthusiasm and the structure of the Electoral College itself (which gives disproportionate weight to states with smaller populations) all favored Trump.

If I was right about those factors favoring Trump, what did I miss? There’s a one-word answer to that: Fraud.

I certainly expected some fraud, there always is. Political rogues have been stuffing ballot boxes since the invention of the ballot. But, I gave this a weight of one or two percent at most.

What appears to have happened in the election of 2020 is fraud on a scale that has never happened in the United States before.

The magnitude of the voting fraud appears to have been on the order of five to ten percent of the votes cast, enough to swamp an otherwise substantial Trump lead in the crucial swing states.

This was not factored into my models, and it accounts for the unexpected result.

The question of voting fraud has implications far beyond the outcome of the 2020 election. If the fraud is successful, if it continues, and if steps are not taken to eliminate it, then democracy in America is dead. That’s a topic for another day.........http://www.silverbearcafe.com/private/12.20/fraud.html

Sorry Fed, it's too late. The dominoes are already toppling, and every point of failure is being exploited by the catalyzing effects of Covid.

America's many points of failure--leverage points where a break brings down the entire system--are falling like dominoes, a process catalyzed by Covid. These systemic points of failure have been masked for the past 20 years by the widespread distribution of trillions of dollars, either printed or borrowed.

There's no point of failure that can't be glued together or covered up a bit longer with fountains of cash. That's the American way of solving problems: just throw more money at it.

Unfortunately for America, substituting borrowed trillions for real problem-solving generates its own set of problems, problems that increase the system's vulnerability to collapse. Healthcare / sickcare is a leading example of this: as the corruption, pay-to-play and profiteering deepened, the federal government's endless borrowed trillions boosted healthcare / sickcare from 5% of the nation's economy to roughly 20% today.

Covid Is Revealing the Cancerous Underbelly of U.S. Healthcare.

As I've noted for a decade, this has created an enormous fragility: healthcare is now so immense that it will bankrupt the nation all by itself. (see charts below) Once the corrupt, pay-to-play, profiteering sectors such as healthcare and banking become "too big to fail," then the Federal Reserve and Treasury are obliged to bail them out or continue funding their spiraling-out-of-control demands.

Speaking of "too big to fail," look at the voracious monster the Fed's endless monetary goosing has incentivized--a financial system addicted to Fed "free money," soaring debt, accelerating leverage and near-infinite speculation.........read more...

 mr whitehead explains why those in charge are the body snatchers and won't stop by themselves. their goal is total control of all you do, and its in process;

It’s like Invasion of the Body Snatchers all over again.

The nation is being overtaken by an alien threat that invades bodies, alters minds, and transforms freedom-loving people into a mindless, compliant, conforming mob intolerant of anyone who dares to be different, let alone think for themselves.

However, while Body Snatchersthe chilling 1956 film directed by Don Siegel—blames its woes on seed pods from outerspace, the seismic societal shift taking place in America owes less to biological warfare reliant on the COVID-19 virus than it does to psychological warfare disguised as a pandemic threat.

 pcr writes about pearl harbor not being a surprise in any way, and since i just finished a book that proves it bigtime, called: a day of deceit, i have to fully agree with all he says here, and if you get the book you'll discover how fully true it is;

Pearl Harbor:  An Orchestrated Event?

Paul Craig Roberts

In November, 1944, US Secretary of War, Henry Stimson snapped to the US Secretary of the Treasury that he was worn out “from working the last two weeks on the Pearl Harbor report to keep out anything that might hurt the President.” — Churchill’s War, Vol. II

December 7, 2020.  Today is the 79th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the event that brought the US into the war against Germany and Japan. Eight American battleships were sunk or put out of action, and about 3,600 American sailors were killed or wounded.

Washington needed scapegoats, and Admiral Husband Kimmel and General Walter Short were saddled with the blame for American unpreparedness for the Pearl Harbor attack. As time passed circumstantial evidence came to light that President Roosevelt knew of the attack and permitted the devastation in order that the American people would be so outraged by the attack as to give up their resistance to being dragged into another European war.  The controversy continued for some years.  I am unsure that it was ever resolved.

When I was a Wall Street Journal editor, the chief intelligence officer of the US Pacific Fleet at the time of the Japanese attack, Admiral Edwin T. Layton, published a book, And I Was There. Layton proved to my satisfaction that foreknowledge of the attack was known in Washington, perhaps not specifically that Japan would attack Pearl Harbor, but it was definitely known that Japan was about to attack in force.  Layton attributed Pearl Harbor’s vulnerability to the tendency of Washington to monopolize naval intelligence and not share it with operational commanders.  Whether or not Layton believed this or simply could not say that the warning was withheld in order to clear the obstacle to war, I cannot say.  Nevertheless, for Washington to know an attack was forthcoming and still take no action to put Pearl Harbor on high alert or send the fleet to sea is puzzling.  Kimmel’s predecessor had been fired because he would not agree with Washington’s insistance on keeping the Pacific Fleet in such a vulnerable location as Pearl Harbor while the likelihood of war increased.

The publisher of Layton’s book sent me a copy.  As a Wall Street Journal editor with a column of my own, I assumed I could write a review of Admiral Layton’s book, but I was prohibited......read more......

 pcr has some things to say about the empire's government, elections, and priorities you should consider;

As my article this morning on this 79th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor illustrates ( https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2020/12/07/pearl-harbor-an-orchestrated-event/ ), governments use deception to bring people in agreement with the agendas of those who control government.  The cost of such deceptions usually exceed the benefits.  Ruinous wars result, and the unity required to cement a country together can be destroyed.

I believe the latter has happened with the stolen US presidential election.  It is certain that the election was stolen, and 75% of Republicans and 30% of Democrats believe that it was according to the Rasmussen Poll.  The organized theft was planned well in advance, and the hysteria orchestrated by the Covid threat paved the way for fraudulent mail-in ballots.  As I previously explained, state election laws in swing states were violated by Democrat election officials, governors, and secretaries of state. Even state constitutions were violated.  The voting machines were programmed to weight the vote in Biden’s favor.  When this did not suffice, halts in vote counting were declared in several swing states, all poll watchers were sent home, and fradulent main-in ballots were fed into the vote count in the absence of supervision.

The evidence of electoral fraud consists of (1) a comparison of state laws and constitutional requirements with what actually happened as admitted by Democrat officials themselves and justified because of Covid, (2) hundreds of affidavits signed under oath by witnesses to fraudulent voting, (3) expert testimony demonstrating the fraud and how it was done ( https://www.bitchute.com/video/YFwe6cfaGQCa/ ), and (4) security camera films and eyewitness reports of large numbers of mail-in ballots, some uniformly premarked, some without creases and thus never mailed in, and some filled out by Democrats on the spot,  surreptitously delivered and entered into the vote count without supervision.  ........read more........

 if kunstler is accurate in his presentation herein, the spicy times approach and its gonna be getting real interesting and perhaps soon;

Much as Chief Justice John Roberts would like to be the finger down the Deep State’s throat to trigger the up-chucking of Mr. Trump from the nation’s gullet, it looks like he won’t get his chance in the new 6-3 disposition of the US Supreme Court. So far, it is Justice Samuel Alito in the lead, preparing a landing zone for the President’s case against the state of Pennsylvania in its shabby-ass attempt to stuff its ballot boxes with iffy mail-in votes. I believe that case is going to be heard, and Justice Robert’s position will be moot.

The problem over in PA is that its Act 77 bill passed before the election by the state legislature to expand absentee balloting (i.e., mail-in voting) did not comply with the PA state constitution, and required a constitutional amendment, which never happened. Could be pretty cut-and-dried. While the SCOTUS is thought to be reluctant to intervene in state constitutional issues, a case involving federal elections may prove an exception. And then there are other issues with the states of Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Arizona. A lot of electoral votes there.

The virtual takeover of US elections by the Dominion vote tabulation company was a stealth operation probably enabled by the connivance of scores of elected officials at both the federal and state levels — senators, congressmen, governors, and on down. It’s been going on for years due to the secrecy of the op and the complacency of the public, with a little help from the Democratic Party’s friends in the news media. Did money change hands? Potential criminal violations abound.

What on earth was Canada-based Dominion, with its grotty Smartmatic software — connected to Venezuela and to George Soros’s would-be world-changing Open Society Foundation, and very possibly to China’s ruling party — doing in charge of counting our votes? Perhaps serving something other than America’s national interest. We’ll soon find out in a way that will make a lot of heads explode.......read more...
