Just when you think that 2020 has been filled with enough trouble, even more stuff starts happening.  Coming into this week, we were already dealing with a new COVID-19 surge which has pushed the number of daily cases to the highest levels we have seen so far, a global economy which is in the process of imploding all around us, massive civil unrest in U.S. cities from coast to coast, and giant swarms of locusts that are wiping out farms all the way from eastern Africa to parts of India.  Unfortunately, now we have several more items to add to our growing list. ............read more........

Historically, society has deemed pastors and physicians two of its most sacred callings. Pastors watched over our souls, while physicians watched over our bodies. The duties of each office were both respected and protected in our nation’s most important documents and doctrines. But in about four months, our federal government has turned both professions from that of protector to that of predator.

The so-called coronavirus pandemic has totally changed the spiritual, emotional, psychological, philosophical and medical soul of America. The entire country has turned against itself. No one trusts anyone. Everyone they meet, whether in a grocery store, drug store, restaurant, gas station, department store or even church, is viewed as a threat. Masks, social distancing and home isolation are all considered the “new normal.”

Tens of thousands of pastors are yet today forbidding their congregants from assembling together for worship. And tens of thousands of physicians are still largely out of reach from their patients.

Many physicians have been on vacation for months. Hospitals are still refusing to see patients. Surgeries have been postponed. Cancer victims are not being treated. People with heart disease are not being treated. Gallbladder disease is not being treated. Meanwhile, our hospitals are as EMPTY as our churches.

President Trump’s attempt to suppress publication of a new book by his former national-security advisor John Bolton has, not surprisingly, raised First Amendment issues. But there is another issue that everyone ignores: the “national security” argument that Trump is using to justify his attempt to suppress the book.

Trump is alleging that the publication of Bolton’s book will endanger “national security.” But Bolton’s book has already been published. There are people who have already read it. There are reviews of the book being published.

That means that the things in the book that Trump asserts are going to threaten “national security” are already out there in the public domain. Presumably, the U.S. national-security establishment’s official “adversaries,” “enemies,” “rivals,” and “opponents” are aware of them.

So, has the United States fallen into the ocean? Has the federal government been taken over by the Reds, the terrorists, the Muslims, Iran, China, Russia, North Korea, ISIS, al-Qaeda, Iran, Syria, or any other foreign force? Are there foreign invading armies landing on the shores of the East Coast, West Coast, or southern or northern borders of the United States?

Actually, none of the above. So, what does a threat to “national security” actually mean?.........read more.........

Federal Appeals Court Orders Dismissal of Case Against General Flynn

Federal district judge Emmet Sullivan was ordered yesterday in no uncertain terms by the US Court of Appeals to comply with the US Department of Justice’s decision to drop the invalid prosecution of General Flynn who had been coerced into a false plea by FBI threats to indict his son.  

The FBI investigation of General Flynn concluded that he had done nothing wrong and recommended closing the investigation.  But Democrat operative Peter Strzok pulled rank and kept the investigation open.  Released FBI documents prove that Strzok and the FBI decided to frame General Flynn.  The documents show that the plan is “to get him (Flynn) to lie so we can prosecute him or get him fired. . . . we should try to frame them in a way we want.”

In other words, the FBI abused its power in an effort to create a Russiagate scandal to hang around President Trump’s neck.  

These now established facts played no role in the Appeals Court humiliation of the incompetent Judge Emmet Sullivan.  Sullivan is so incompetent that he had no idea that no federal district judge can require the Department of Justice to prosecute anyone. Whether or not to prosecute is entirely a prosecutorial decision.  The power does not reside in the judiciary, as the US Supreme Court has made clear. ..........read more..........

i don't believe your tv has told you of coming locust plagues;

Locusts are currently swarming on three continents as an outbreak of the vermin has now spread from Paraguay into Argentina. The National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality (SENASA) said the swarm, estimated at 40 million creatures, was passing through the province of Chaco in northern Argentina on Tuesday.

SENASA reported that the swarms are composed of the Schistocerca Cancellata species of locust in the subfamily Cyrtacanthacridinae which is different than the desert locust currently devastating Africa and southwest Asia. The South American species has an insatiable appetite for crops of wheat, corn, and oats. These are mostly grown as feed for cattle, a  major agriproduct of Argentina.

The voracious short-horned grasshoppers are devouring enough crops to feed 2,500 people every day. High temperatures and wind are causing the swarm to move up to 100 kilometers a day.  Other countries in South America have been made aware of the outbreak and are preparing for the possibility the swarms will arrive at their borders.

Meanwhile, Africa is facing a probable third wave of locust invasion in 6 months. A wave of locusts swept through East Africa last year, returning again in 2020 in swarms estimated to be 20 times larger. The second round of infestation is described as the worst in 70 years.

Swarms are often tens of square kilometers in size.  A swarm of just one square kilometer eats the same amount of food in one day as 35,000 people. The swarms also can travel 93 miles a day making efforts to control an outbreak even more difficult.
