this must be a red letter day for 'legal' affairs as the following shows how stupid and corrupt those charged with protecting and serving just seem to forget that;

Nearly four years ago, over 170 people were arrested after a violent altercation outside a meeting of motorcycle club members at the Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas, was swarmed by police, who had already surrounded the meeting before anything untoward occurred. Nine people were killed and 18 wounded in the melee. This week, the last of the initial set of charges was dropped after a special prosecutorial team didn't like what it saw.
From the start, lawyers and others pointed out that it was very unlikely indeed that all the arrested had committed any crimes at all, and that the initial $1 million bond for all of them charged with a blanket crime of "engaging in organized criminal activity" seemed unreasonably punitive. The police strove in the aftermath to keep a detailed account of what actually happened from reaching the public eye, or that of defense attorneys.
As the years under which those people had criminal charges hanging over their heads went by—with all the problems that come with that on top of the missed work and rent and family responsibilities that bedeviled them from their initial time in custody under that absurd bond—dozens of the arrested went unindicted as grand juries expired, and last year charges began to be dropped against many of the defendants, with not a single successful prosecution having happened yet nearly four years after the mass arrests.
Many of the bikers who had charges eventually dropped have filed civil rights suits against local police and district attorneys over the absurd arrests and incredibly long times to get any of them to trial.............https://reason.com/blog/2019/02/26/waco-biker-massacre-prosecutions-continu
here is caitlin's thoughts on the latest foolishness directed at venezuela, who happens to have taken our oil and put it beneath their ground, heartless commies that they are;

So, you might want to sit down for this, but believe it or not it appears that the US government is using the fallout from its “humanitarian aid” performance to justify further sanctions against the Venezuelan government.
I know, I know. I’m just as shocked as you are.
“This action, taken pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 13692, targets six security officials who control many of the groups that prevented humanitarian aid from entering Venezuela, thereby exacerbating the humanitarian crisis that has left millions of Venezuelans starving and without access to medical care under the Maduro regime,” reads a statement from the US Treasury, if you can imagine such a thing.
“Those who continue to support a dictator that violates human rights and steals from the starving should not be allowed to walk around with impunity,” tweeted US National Security Advisor John Bolton of this latest escalation, to everyone’s breathless astonishment. “The United States will continue to take appropriate action against Maduro and those aligned with him.”
“The United States urges all nations to step up economic pressure on Maduro and his corrupt associates, as well as restrict visas for his inner circle,” US special envoy to Venezuela Elliott Abrams told a room full of stunned, slack-jawed reporters, adding, get this, “Now is the time to act in support of democracy and in response to the needs of the Venezuelan people.”...........https://caitlinjohnstone.com/2019/03/02/shocker-humanitarian-aid-stunt-used-to-escalate-against-venezuela/
pepe herein explores several of the 'emergencies' we're presented by 'our free press' and presents some possible ways to understand it all;

Turning and turning in a widening gyre, the geopolitics of the young  21st century resembles a psychedelic mandala conceived by Yama, the Lord of Death.
Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, fresh from a 70-hour train journey, meets in prosperous, communist Hanoi with fellow Nobel Peace Prize contender Donald Trump under the benevolent gaze of Uncle Ho.
This very sentence, if announced not long ago, would have elicited transcontinental howls of derision.
Chairman Kim, owner of a small nuclear arsenal, is deemed worthy of dialogue by the hyperpower while the nuclear-deprived leadership in Iran is not, even as the hyperpower ditched a multilateral, UN-approved, working nuclear deal.
In parallel, the hottest border in Asia reveals itself not to be the DMZ between the Koreas, but once again the Line of Control between nuclear powers India and Pakistan in Kashmir.
Although Islamabad and Delhi might, in theory, escalate to pointing nuclear missiles towards each other, the DPRK won’t point a nuclear-tipped missile at Guam and Tehran points to nothing at all, as it does not hold any nuclear missiles.
In a lighter, Looney Tunes vein, exit regime change in Pyongyang, while regime change in Iran stays, and enter regime change in Venezuela. Iran may still be placed in the Axis of Evil, but the new motto is the troika of tyranny (Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua) as the government in Caracas plays ‘Beep Beep’ to the hyperpower’s Wily Coyote.
An array of dodgy US neocons and shady “foundations” keep the flame of regime change in Iran alive, even fabricating a Tehran-al-Qaeda axis, while in Venezuela a stealth scenario advances. An astonishing briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Relations in Moscow this past Friday revealed that “US special forces and tech units will be delivered closer to Venezuela’s borders. We do have information that the US and its NATO partners are organizing for a mass delivery of weapons for the opposition in Venezuela, which will come from an Eastern European country.”
Facts are implacable. NATO, after nearly two decades, was miserably defeated in Afghanistan. The NATO-Gulf Cooperation Council war by proxy in Syria failed. The winners are Damascus, Tehran and Moscow. The conflict in Donbass is frozen. So, a remixed Monroe doctrine is back, even as a humanitarian ploy – reminiscent of the “humanitarian imperialism” that led to the destruction of Libya – may have failed, for now.....http://thesaker.is/kashmir-korea-venezuela-iran-hot-cold-hybrid-war/

back to back, or two in a row, are presented two items displaying how we can be protected and served by 'our thin blue line';

Fort Meyers, FL —  Holley Delton Jones, 42, was shopping at a 7-Eleven last year when two police officers approached him for no reason and attacked him. Jones had done nothing wrong, the store employees even told the police this, yet he was attacked, tasered, and arrested. Now, nearly one year after the incident, the taxpayers will likely be the ones held accountable.
On April 15, 2018, Jones was shopping at the 7-Eleven when officers James Barlow and Chris Robles show up and begin questioning him for no reason. There had been no complaints against Jones and he had simply stopped at the gas station to purchase water and cigarettes.
When police approached Jones, he was at the register talking to the cashier—doing nothing wrong. Police claimed they were responding to a report of a disorderly intoxicated male at the gas station. But according to their own report, they made no reference to Jones being that person. In fact, the store employees told them several times that he had “done nothing.”
Police claimed in their report that when they tried to talk to him, Jones “quickly ran back towards the front entrance of the 7-Eleven opened the front door, and turned around in a defensive posture with a closed fist as if he was going to strike Officer.”
But this is not what happened and their own body cameras prove it.
In spite of the fact that the cashiers in the store were standing up for Jones, the officers continued to press him. When they asked him to step outside, Jones complies and walks over to the officer, asking why they want to talk to him.........https://thefreethoughtproject.com/taxpayers-shopping-while-black/
here's your daily 'thin blue line' report with much evidence of the usual 'pigheaded' actions by the ones who are sworn to protect and serve;

Ashland City, TN — Last August, Mark Campbell was sitting in his house when two strangers showed up at his door. These two strangers lightly knocked and told Campbell that they had guns. Moments later, bullets came flying through Campbell’s door and nearly killed him and his wife. Instead of the two strangers getting arrested for attempted murder, Campbell found himself in jail—because the two strangers were cops.
That night, Campbell had done nothing wrong when Cheatham county sheriff’s deputies — Sgt. Doug Fox and Chris Austin showed up to his home. The deputies claim they were responding to a 911 hang up, but according to Campbell’s attorney, he never made a 911 call until after these two maniacs started shooting through his door.
As the body camera footage shows, when the deputies arrived, they had on no flashing lights and no sirens. They never once announced themselves as police and simply started quietly knocking on Campbell’s door and calling his name.
Not knowing who was at his door, Campbell was naturally scared—especially when the unidentified men started talking about guns.
“Come on out Mark. What’s up man?” said one deputy.
“You gotta gun?” said Campbell.
“What’s going on Mark?” said the deputy...........https://thefreethoughtproject.com/deputies-shooting-unarmed-innocent-man/

a very curious trip thru the world of israeli political troubles is here below;

The Jewish State  is an unusual place. It indicts its leaders and occasionally even locks them behind bars. Former Israeli president Moshe Katsav was found  guilty of “rape, sexual harassment, committing an indecent act while using force, harassing a witness and obstruction of justice”. He was sentenced to seven years in prison. Veteran Israeli PM Ehud Olmert was convicted of two counts of bribery and was also sent to prison. Yesterday Israel’s attorney general published his decision to indict Mr Netanyahu on charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust in connection with three cases.
Israel is tough on its leaders. It is certainly tougher than Britain that has so far failed to charge Tony Blair with war crimes or the USA that similarly failed to indict George Bush for launching an illegal war*. Yet Israel is far from an ethical realm. It is institutionally racist towards the indigenous people of the land as well as African immigrants, and  it is also abusive to its poor. Israel is occasionally accused of gross war crimes. One may wonder why a criminal state with such an appalling record is so harsh with its leaders.
Zionism is one possible answer. Zionism, in its early days, was contemptuous of ‘the Jews.’ It promised to civilise the chosen people by means of ‘homecoming.’ The following comments weren’t made by Adolf Hitler or a member of the Nazi party but by some of the most dedicated early Zionists:............http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/?p=184473

the writer of this exploration travels thru all sorts of alleys making several interesting points you should be aware of about the empire and its stumbling foolishness;

The United States Entity lost the war in Iraq. That fact determines the Entity’s position in the Middle East today.
After having destroyed Saddam’s army and dispossessing the Sunnis in favor of the Shi’ites, after Abu Ghraib and it’s indelible pictures, after the total destruction of Fallujah, in short after a victory achieved with the utmost brutality, contempt and humiliation of Iraq and Iraqis, the Entity was in charge. Then the “insurgents” appeared. They put improvised explosive devices along the roads so, with a phone call, they could destroy patrols of the Entity. They made car bombs so that every vehicle approaching a check-point might spell doom. They donned suicide vests to blow themselves and any nearby Entity soldiers up. Entity soldiers couldn’t go into the streets. Every move they made could be their last. The enemy was everywhere and nowhere. These people would rather die then be ruled by these idiotic mechanized barbarians. Everything seemed peaceful, but at any moment, out of nowhere, they could be blown to pieces.
That kind of thing wears on you. Their patrols, pointless bouts of Russian roulette, ended up as parked “search and avoid” missions. Life went on without the clanking monsters. Entity bases were like Kaposi sarcoma in AIDS patients. The Entity’s attempts at reconstruction were comically inept – roads to nowhere and chicken processing plants for chickens no one wanted. In short the Entity’s occupation of Iraq after the victory, other than being a disaster of comical incompetence, was non-existent. Muqtada Al-Sadr, the Shi’ite cleric, had much more power than the Entity. Eventually Iraq rejected the Entity’s status of forces agreement (SOFA). In other words the Iraqi puppets the Entity had installed unceremoniously kicked the Entity out of the country.
Until that time the Entity had been running a protection racket in the Middle East. But after the loss of Iraq these threats seemed a lot less plausible. The game was: oil had to be sold in dollars. Know as Dollar Hegemony, this racket allowed the Entity to print money. Oil backed the dollar just as gold once had. Governments had to maintain large supplies of dollars to protect against “emergencies,” that is, dollar shortages during speculative attacks on their currencies. “To prevent speculative and manipulative attacks on their currencies, the world’s central banks must acquire and hold dollar reserves in corresponding amounts to their currencies in circulation.” The Entity enforced dollar hegemony with military threats. One of the most important reasons for the Entity’s attack on Iraq was Saddam’s abandoning of dollar hegemony. He had begun to sell oil in euros. The Entity had to stop that. It invaded, and as soon as it was victorious, reversed that policy. Dollar hegemony restored. But the loss in Iraq revealed The Entity’s protection racket as a bluff. It’s threats were suddenly unconvincing............https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-03-01/debt-accrued-through-dollar-hegemony-unpayable-except-hyperinflated-dollars
