i have no idea who medea benjamin is but i do know the venezuelan troubles are a direct creation of the cia and the empire. we've got a long history of attacking every country we oppose. that history isn't shown by your tv or school but if you drill down you can easily find the reality. what we're doing is spending our money and blood to attempt to control the world. its easy to see when you remove the 'special glasses' provided by the empire. is especially funny to watch 'our talking heads' both political and media type in their hypocrisy speaking of russian meddling and at the same time doing these things;
Before they launch missiles, they launch narratives. Before they drop bombs, they drop talking points. Before they implement crushing starvation sanctions, they demonize and condemn. Before they invade, they propagandize. Before the killing starts, manipulation paves the way.
For this reason, the front line of any antiwar movement is a fight against the establishment narratives about disobedient nations that are aggressively promulgated by the political/media class. And right now one of the very most adept Americans at doing that is an activist named Medea Benjamin.Benjamin once again displayed her knack for getting her message seen in high-profile spaces in a way that grabs attention and punches through cleanly and concisely as she crashed the warmongering bloviations of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at a meeting of the Organization for American States (OAS) in Washington, DC.
Following a speech in which Pompeo regurgitated already established Trump talking points referring to Venezuela’s president Nicolas Maduro as the “former president”, accusing him of being “economically incompetent”, “profoundly corrupt” and “undemocratic to the core,” Benjamin cut off his applause by standing at the end of the council room with a sign reading “OAS: DON’T SUPPORT A COUP IN VENEZUELA” and decrying the Trump administration’s attempts to topple the Venezuelan government.
“Don’t support the coup!” Benjamin shouted. “A coup is not a democratic transition! Do not listen to Secretary Pompeo! Do not support the coup! Do no support the coup in Venezuela!”

what's good for the goose has to be good for the gander. we can't survive as a species if we continue to make room for several sets of rules. what israel has done and is doing is certainly against all rules of laws but they have influence so things like the following become an issue;

In any case, its transfer of hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens to the Palestinian-owned West Bank is a major breach of international law, going beyond a mere war crime in its massive and repetitive nature, and constituting a crime against humanity.

just some thoughts that i've been having: 'our free press' spends lots of time on things like venezuela's street action but ignores that in france. if you pay attention and have some time to drill down and use other search engines like duckduckgo, you will find much that the tv won't show you. i say other search engines because google and bing have been shown repeatedly to be the tools of government and its rumored that the cia has been a founding part of google. the propaganda is rampant and well prepared for those who don't think or question.
'our' government proves every day that it has forgotten the constitution, but actually with the decider putting us in a state of emergency after the false flag of 911 we were put under marshal law then, and that remains the case up to this day, and so that put the constitution on hold then, so now they're after the bundy's again;

Klayman said on Wednesday: “The Department of Justice, which has sadly become known as the ‘Department of Injustice,’ is going ahead by with its appeal of the dismissal of the indictment a year ago, characteristically ‘circling the wagons’ to cover the dishonest and unethical tracks of Steven Mahre, Dan Schiess and other prosecutors in the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada.
He said the prosecutors “were previously caught lying to the court, suborning perjury, threatening whistleblower Larry Wooten and, put simply, committing crimes.”
