Former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appeared on Meet the Press this weekend and explained that Democrats have to pack the U.S. Supreme Court, because it’s just too partisan.
This is one of those complaints that Democrats only make now. When the court had a liberal majority for years, there were no concerns about partisanship, only now is this suddenly an issue.
This is just Buttigieg pandering to his party’s base.

Buttigieg told host Kristen Welker that the court has come to look like a “nakedly partisan institution” and calling for six additional justices to be added to the current nine-member bench — a bigger expansion than he has previously floated.

Critics say the pattern in campaign hiring reveals the real priorities driving Talarico’s operation, stripping away the moderate veneer he has worked hard to construct for general election voters.
Talarico has not kept the racial composition of his team a secret. At a November appearance hosted by the Houston Black American Democrats, he said, “Our campaign is already putting major resources behind direct mail, door knocking, black media, faith outreach, and much more.” He followed that by saying, “I recognize that I’m a white boy from Round Rock, and I’ve got blind spots. And it’s why we are building a campaign team that looks like Texas. And I’m proud to say that the senior staff… is majority minority and majority women.”

The president has clearly identified the urgent need for a thirty-foot high effigy of America’s first president George Washington, which is already being referred to as a “Colossus Statue,” to be placed along the city’s mall in front of the Smithsonian Museum of American History. The under-White House-control-or-I’ll-fire-you city planning and arts commissions will undoubtedly approve the project in spite of the fact that George Washington would have no doubt abhorred such a monument to himself, since he clearly rejected in his Farewell Address the suggestion that he and his successors would be or become anything like “kings.” The Smithsonian, which has independent management, might seek to block the move but recent history has shown us that Trump will ignore any opposition and employ any and every brutal expedient to get his way.
