The last few weeks have seen some pretty rough weather here in the Hoosier state. While we have gotten a whole bunch of rain and some warnings to watch for flooding, it has been mostly beneficial. The corn and soybeans are exploding, as are the hay fields and lawns alike.

Other parts of the state have been much harder hit. Due south of us in the Muncie area there has been catastrophic flooding. In Williamsburg, Indiana people have been pumping water out of their basements for 10 days straight but the aquifer is so full that the water you pump out just drains into the neighbor’s basement until they pump it out and into yours. Last week, Barry County, Michigan, Clerk David Olson made a video asking for the feds to step in and remove non-citizens from the voter rolls in Hastings Charter Township, Michigan.

Clerk Olson explained what the whistleblower told the Barry County Sheriff: “When a non-citizen changes their address, programming automatically registers that citizen to vote. When the employee advised the supervisor, the supervisor said, ‘That’s okay, because it will be caught downline by the clerks.” Olson challenged the supervisor’s statement, saying, “That is not correct! Once it’s in the qualified voter file, there’s no way for me to verify citizenship!”

He continued, “Therefore, they [non-citizens] are automatically issued a ballot or an absentee ballot. So, since it is my responsibility to safeguard the voter rolls in my township, I’m asking if the federal government is interested in helping verify my citizens’ [voter] rolls?”

Clerk Olson appears to welcome the opportunity to have his voter rolls cleared of non-citizens who have no right to vote in our elections. “I would be welcome to have them here,” he said, as he assured the integrity of his voter rolls would not be compromised.

Olson explained, “I will safeguard my voter roll in the office, but they are certainly welcome to come and compare against mine, and this way will uphold the law. U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Jamieson Greer appeared on CNBC this morning to discuss the trade agreement between the U.S. and Canada and what caused the final breakdown at the last minute.  Greer notes the Canadian team appeared to be negotiating at the end from the position of politics as the Canadian team were aligning themselves with a domestic effort.

Greer draws attention to the friction points being very small. The U.S. tariffs were on less than 5% of overall Canadian exports and less than .06% of U.S. imports.  The U.S. made several offers to present Canada with the best trade terms in the world; however, Canada wanted more.  Canada wanted to retain all their market barriers, retain all quotas, retain all tariffs and restrictions against U.S. goods and services, but remove all the tariffs against them.

This is a really solid interview to watch because USTR Greer doesn’t need to pretend anything.  The terms offered were direct and consistent with benefit to both America and Canada.  On the language issue, Greer completely refutes the claims by Mark Carney about the U.S. seeking to change the language of Quebec and starts laughing at the premise. The issue relates to Canada demanding that five percent of all tech income be given to Canadian tech companies they compete against. That demand is ridiculous............more.........

At the core of the issue is the administration executive order that requires states to send their voter rolls to the U.S. Postal Service for mail service for mail-in ballots.  The USPS would then cross-check with DHS and Social Security records to ensure each of the names and addresses were eligible to vote before mailing them a ballot.

Obviously, the blue states -Democrat States- are refusing to comply with the USPS rule, the reason is simple.  A significant number of the blue state registered voters are not eligible voters (illegal aliens etc.)  If the states allowed cross-checking of their voter rolls the American people would see just how many illegal voters are registered; this would significantly reshape the U.S. election.  The scale of the issue is up for debate.

That said, the anxiety forms the baseline of opposition where blue states are suing in every court possible to stop the postal service requirement. The Trump executive order also directs the Postal Service to block delivery of mail-in ballots entirely from states that refuse to share voter lists with the federal government.

Today the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 [RULING HERE] that lifted one of the lower court injunctions that was filed as a lawsuit in Massachusetts. Ukrainian intelligence officials reported that among the estimated 8,500 North Korean military personnel in Russia, around 400 were drone operators. The latest contingent reportedly also includes approximately 1,000 engineers and sappers, most of whom are deployed in Russia’s Kursk region.

The deployment of drone operations marks a significant escalation of North Korea’s participation in the war effort, and closely follows reports that Korean People’s Army personnel were also manning new ballistic missile units that were being employed in the Ukrainian theatre. Ukrainian sources indicate that drones are expected to perform both reconnaissance and strike missions, potentially allowing North Korean personnel to participate directly in attacks against Ukrainian territory without crossing the border into Russia.
