Recent polls now indicate that AfD has surpassed the Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union to become the most popular party in Germany.

Ispos poll shows that a quarter of the nation now backs AfD, a 4 point rise from February. The Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union fell to 24% from 28.6%. Backing for the Social Democratic Party continued its decline and now stands at at 15%. The left-wing Linke Party advanced 2 points to 11%, while the Greens remained relatively stagnant at the same level of support.
