when you watch the x video at the beginning, at the link, the rest might begin to add up for those who don't already know what needs solving;
So what is the solution?
- Abolish the Department of Education.
- Adopt a curriculum that works. This means returning to the same classes taught in the 1880s: teaching reading, mathematics, grammatical writing and the Constitution.
- Education is not baby sitting. Students can be taught effectively in less time. Schools can be done in two shifts: morning and afternoon. This would decrease our school building and infrastructure in half and eliminate the need for cafeterias.
- Schools do not assign homework in many cases. Shifts would give students more time to learn by themselves by doing homework while building confidence and knowledge.
- Eliminate teacher unions.
- Adopt standards for teachers and evaluate their work. Bad teachers have to be fired.
- Allow former military with experience in training and teaching to be certified teachers.
- Get the police out of our schools. Allow teachers who pass firearms training and discipline to conceal carry in schools.
- No drug policy. Any student caught with drugs on their person is automatically expelled.
- Cell phones in school should be a privilege. A 3.0 minimum GPA is required to have a cell phone in middle and high schools. No cells phones in elementary schools.
- Standardized tests for all schools as developed by the state. A student is allowed to fail a year one time. A second failing year means expulsion.
- Hitting a teacher is an automatic expulsion.
- Sexual education programs must be reviewed and adopted by parents.
- Teachers are not counselors: no sexual manipulation is to be allowed by any teaching faculty.
Let’s go back to practical teaching to give our children a better life.
