i suspect that the 'borg' has created the 'wave' of responses to the covid in some nefarious manner such as the australian politician who was found to be getting under the table 'favors' for enforcing the 'official' mandates. i post this entry sent by a friend who was at the meeting in which this was presented as i understand the email sent to me i post this from;

After hearing the following comment from an alum and board member, the school board members voted 6 to 1 in favor of mandating masks in the school district.

I speak against the motion to approve mask mandates. I am confident no one here enjoys wearing a mask much less being told you must wear them for the safety of the community. So let’s shuck it down to the cob. The CDC issued “guidance” to schools that everyone must wear masks indoors and on the bus. You must do this or be subject to quarantine if there is an exposure. Oh, and by the way, if you choose not to follow the “guidance” you will probably lose funding.  So let’s look at the mask. I have a box of common masks that people wear every day to “comply” with the mandate, some wear cloth coverings of various makes but all of them qualify as masks. The disclaimer on the box says………. So they don’t protect against the spread of viruses. This is unconscionable. The mask mandate to protect the public is a lie and the CDC knows it. Obviously the “guidance “isn’t about public health. Tyrants issue edicts, mandates and guidance’s. Tyrants govern by fear and intimidation, leaders lead by following the rule of law.

This really isn’t about mask mandates. It goes much deeper than that. It’s about control. It’s about destroying the fabric of this great experiment called The United States of America. It’s about dividing the people by race, sex, religion; it’s about dividing families and friends. It’s about destroying the trust we have in each other. It’s about spreading hopelessness as an effort to build up the government as an answer to the problems the government itself created. Compliance is the only power a tyrant has. They have no law to back them up, only the fear of reprisal. The only way to stop tyrannical rule is by mass non-compliance. We are a peaceful people. No one wants to intentionally pick a fight. But we didn’t start it. I don’t know what will happen if we choose not to comply but I know what will happen if we do. I don’t know what lies ahead if we don’t comply. There will be struggles for sure. If we choose to be non-compliant with the mask mandates then we can choose to be non-compliant with the quarantines. It just takes one to stand up to a bully and others will join in. We will not be alone. These are the days that try men’s souls but I believe we are here at this time for a reason.

Back in March of 2020 the senior class never imagined that that one Friday would be the last time they would be together until graduation. That spring there was no track, no baseball, no debate, no band concerts, no choir concerts, no tennis, no golf, no prom, and no project grad. It all started by the CDC telling us to quarantine for two weeks to flatten the curve so the hospitals would not be overwhelmed and we said ok: Then they said we had to complete the school year on line and we said ok: then mask mandates and we said ok: then ban all indoor events and ban all sports venues and the people said ok: then masks outside (insane BTW) the people hesitated but said ok:

The next school year 2020-2021 started out by being hybrid, only two days a week in the classroom. The football and soccer teams played to empty stadiums and we said ok: There were no assemblies, the school plays and musicals performed to empty auditoriums and we said ok. 

Now its vaccine mandates, vaccine passports for travel-restaurants-hospital visits and various other businesses. This is what happens when we the people keep saying ok. The list just keeps getting longer. None of these were laws passed by Congress or State Legislatures. These were all edicts, guidance or mandates issued by the Federal Executive Branch or bureaucrats in the CDC, FDA, NIH, AMA, DESE, or local Health Departments. They are not law therefore they do not carry the weight of law. We are not bound to follow them just because the alphabet tyrants issued them.  I do know if we continue to say yes our children and grandchildren will eventually have to clean up the mess if there’s anything left. 

 So it's not about just a mask. It's about tyranny, unlawful governmental edicts, mandates and "guidance". It's about freedom.  That's the issue and why some people are so passionate about it. I know where we’ve been. I can see where it’s going and I am saying NO, not on my watch. We have an opportunity to take a stand and make a difference for the future and our children’s future. They are watching. We will either stand for freedom or continue to say ok and let tyranny rule the day. If someone wants to wear a mask, it should be by choice, not force.
