 a reasoned response from iran to the orange man;

If the US was replaced by “Country A”, the world would be even more solidified against the US as the aggressor in this war. I have not forgotten the Iranian hostage crisis or their funding of terrorism. I take into consideration that Israel and the US have been funding Hamas, al Qaeda and ISIS.

I consider the assassination of a nation’s leader during ongoing negotiations to be a cowardly act. There was no declared war and no war has been declared by Congress (who cowardly went on vacation). For those who disagree, see Pearl Harbor.

But to get right down to the point, I am disgusted in the actions of the United States at the direction of Israel. I am disgusted that our “government” has been bought and sold by a foreign nation. And I am disgusted that Trump started a world war to coverup the Epstein files.

Many people will have objections to this post. They will point out that Iranians have funded terrorism throughout the Middle East. I agree and ask how much did they fund versus the revelations this past week concerning the US and Israeli funding as I have already stated?

Trump is giving a message to the nation tonight – April’s Fool Day. How much credibility will you give him?...........more..........

 caitlin tells it like it was, and is;

It used to be hard to help westerners see the depravity of the US empire. Now it’s just right in everyone’s face with raw genocide footage and insanely evil warmongering of direct economic consequence.

It took a lot of work to help the average westerner understand that NATO aggressions actively provoked the war in Ukraine, or that western interventionism played a major role in the violence and chaos in Syria, or that US economic warfare was largely responsible for the suffering of Cubans and Venezuelans. The murderous savagery of the empire was hidden behind layers of obfuscation, allowing the propagandists to frame the western power structure as a passive witness to the abuses of foreign regimes.

Now the propagandists have very little to work with, so those obfuscations can no longer take place. There’s no way you can spin a school full of children blown up by an American double-tap airstrike as anything other than what it is. There’s only so much narrative manipulation you can exert on raw video footage of a western-backed genocide playing out in full view of the entire world day after day for years. There’s no way to propagandize westerners into believing they want to pay a lot more more money for their fuel and groceries.............more.............

 the trump show just ran into an unintended turn of events. a successful resistance;

I never thought I’d live to see the day when the most hawkish, ‘bomb-them-into-the-stone-age’ president in modern American history would quietly surrender to a nation he swore to destroy. Yet here we are, in March 2026, watching Donald Trump’s vaunted ‘Operation Epic Fury’ unravel into what can only be described as an epic failure.

For weeks, the propaganda machine told us Iran was ‘utterly demolished’ [1]. But the truth, now seeping through the cracks of a fractured narrative, is that Trump has blinked first. The Wall Street Journal reports the administration is now willing to leave the Strait of Hormuz closed, preferring an ‘exit ramp’ over completing its stated mission [2]. This isn’t a strategic pause; it’s a staggering, humiliating surrender. The same media that lied about ‘total victory’ is now spinning defeat as diplomacy. The cognitive dissonance isn’t just palpable; it’s a flashing red siren that the American war machine has hit a wall it cannot bulldoze.

In my view, this was inevitable. The arrogance of thinking you could bomb a sovereign nation into ‘unconditional surrender’ — a demand Trump repeated like a broken record [3][4] — was always a psychotic delusion. It ignores the natural law of cause and effect, the resilience of a people, and the sheer logistical and moral bankruptcy of endless American wars..........more.........

 pcr says our enlightened president is wacko delusional;

A Delusional President

Paul Craig Roberts

President Trump’s 19 minute speech tonight was an extraordinary collection of blatant lies and fantastic delusions.  He repeatedly claimed over and over that Iran was decimated.  So why isn’t the war over?  Why does it have to continue for another month?

Trump addressed no issue.  He did not acknowledge that it is US and Israel’s radar sites that have been decimated along with American bases.  He did not acknowledge that Israeli-America has run out of interceptor missiles, and that Poland, a NATO ally, has refused Trump’s pressure to release the US missiles systems in Poland to Israel.

The facts on the ground are that Israel and US bases on the Persian Gulf are defenseless and cannot stop incoming Iranian missiles that strike at will.

Does Trump really think 19 minutes of hot air can hide the tremendous defeat that Trump has suffered from starting a war that his own hand-picked Chairman of the Joint Chiefs advised him against as the US lacked sufficient munitions to continue the war more than a few weeks?

Many hoped that tonight Trump would declare victory and with the war declared won pull out and go home.  Apparently, the powerful Israel Lobby was able to prevent Trump from extricating himself from the trap in which he foolishly placed himself.

Tonight Trump presented the world with an a delusional American president divorced from reality.  Will anyone notice–certainly C-Span’s commentator Matthew Kroenig did not–or do they, like Trump, prefer delusion to reality?
