Looks like Pete Hegseth tried to make a financial killing off of the war of aggression the US launched against Iran on 28 February 2026. According to the Financial Times:
Pete Hegseth’s broker at Morgan Stanley contacted BlackRock in February to make a multimillion-dollar investment in a defense-focused Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) called IDEF.
This $3.2 billion fund is built around companies that benefit from increased military spending, including RTX, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Palantir — all major Pentagon contractors.
The request came just weeks before the U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran, a campaign Hegseth helped shape and strongly supported within the Trump administration.
BlackRock flagged the inquiry internally because of Hegseth’s high-profile role. The investment didn’t go through, but only because the ETF wasn’t yet available on Morgan Stanley’s platform.

In what former Conservative Party leader Andrew Scheer called “a dark day for free speech in Canada,” the House of Commons passed a bill Wednesday that could criminalize the quoting of Bible passages if they are deemed to be hateful.
Bill C-9 passed the House on a 186-137 vote. Liberal Party and Bloc Québécois members of Parliament all voted in favor of the bill, while MPs from the Conservative, New Democratic, and Green parties opposed it en masse “in a rare form of unity among the usually opposing parties,” reported LifeSiteNews.
The previous day, in a nearly identical vote, the same parties shut down all debate on the bill to force it to a floor vote without the opportunity for further amendments.
The bill now heads to the Senate, where it will almost certainly be approved since that body primarily consists of appointees of former Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. (Canada’s Senate, modeled on the U.K.’s House of Lords, is an unelected body.)

Introduced by Liberal Justice Minister Sean Fraser, the “Combatting Hate Act” increases the maximum penalties for crimes “motivated by hatred based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, color, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.” For example, an offense whose maximum sentence is currently two years will have a maximum sentence of five years if the government believes it was motivated by hatred; a sentence of 14 years may be increased to life under the same circumstances. This, of course, gives prosecutors and judges considerable leeway to punish people whose opinions they dislike.
As if that weren’t bad enough, the bill also removes a religious exemption to the existing law’s prohibitions of “communicating statements” that promote or incite “hatred against any identifiable group.” Previously, an individual who could demonstrate that, “in good faith, they expressed … an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text” would not be guilty of a hate crime. As we’re now in the fourth week of war, where next?
Firstly, although Iran has been subjected to intensive bombardment, the latter’s military effectiveness is far from evident. Iran’s ability to strike back at U.S. and Israeli interests in Gulf States continues with increasing power; its leadership operates effectively in its deliberately-chosen opaque mode (called mosaic); and Iran persists with regular missile and drone volleys, whilst incrementally elevating the sophistication of its missile barrage. Popular support for the Iranian State is consolidated.
The U.S. and Israeli barrages are causing heavy damage to Iran, but there is little evidence that these strikes have found – or destroyed – Iran’s dispersed and deeply buried missile ‘cities’ spread across the extent of the country. The evidence suggests rather, that in failing to destroy Iran’s hidden military infrastructure, the U.S. and Israel has turned its attention to civil targets aimed at demoralising the people – as we have seen deployed in the Lebanese and Palestinian arena.........more........

Last week the Democrat attack on American police intensified. Boston police officer Nicholas O’Malley, an officer with an unblemished record, responded to a woman’s call that she was carjacked. Car highjacking is a violent crime. In officer O’Malley’s confrontation with the hijacker, the highjacked was shot and killed.
The Democrat Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden had officer O’Malley arrested and intends to try him for manslaughter. The obvious purpose of Hayden, perhaps indoctrinated against the police in a law faculty financed by George Soros, is to make police confrontations with violent criminals too risky for the police.
Already Democrats have excused criminals, especially black ones, from non-violent crimes. Now they are moving to excuse violent crimes. In other words, the Democrats are endeavoring to create immunity for criminals for their criminal activities and to punish not the criminals but the police who attempt to uphold the law.
This is a serious development. Americans do not understand how far it has gone. One would have thought that the extraordinary resistance in Democrat Minneapolis and Minnesota to the deportation of criminal immigrant-invaders would have awakened insouciant Americans. But apparently not.
The Democrat Party has made it clear that Democrats are aligned with criminals, sexual perverts, illegal aliens, and with every Woke ideology whose purpose is to destroy traditional American society, which is regarded by Democrats as Raciest, Misogynist, and Homophobic.
Many commentators say incorrectly that the two political parties are one and that this sameness is why it matters not which is in office. The parties are the same in the fact that neither represents Americans. The Republicans represent Israel and have had America at war for Israel for a quarter of a century. The Democrats represent the transformation of America into a Sodom & Gomorrah Tower of Babel in which criminal violence and sexual perversity rule.
