 orban has more brains than the rest of the eu 'leaders' combined;

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has declared that Hungary will not implement the EU’s new Migration Pact. Writing on X, he said that Brussels is trying to force Hungary either to accept incoming migrants or pay financial contributions. Orbán reiterated that Hungary would not accept a single migrant and would not pay for other EU states’ obligations, arguing that his country already invests heavily in protecting the EU’s external borders.

“We will not take a single migrant in, and we will not pay for others’ migrants. Hungary will not implement the measures of the Migration Pact. The rebellion begins!” the prime minister wrote.

Hungary, along with Poland and Slovakia, has long rejected the pact’s stricter mechanism, as it stands for border protection to curb mass migration. The Migration Pact is designed to replace the current Dublin system and foresees faster border procedures, stricter security and health checks, and expanded options to transfer rejected asylum seekers to safe third countries—potentially even without their consent. It also includes discussions about establishing external asylum and return centers outside the EU...........https://www.amren.com/news/2025/12/orban-rejects-eu-migration-pact/

The Erasure of Western Civilization

Paul Craig Roberts

Dear readers, I post a lot of interviews, and I know that it takes time that you can use for other purposes to listen to them.

I understand that people view my interviews because they trust me to tell them the truth as far as I can ascertain it and not to deceive them with a narrative that serves some special interest that is paying me. Indeed, the fact that I try to ascertain what is the truth and to report it is the reason that I am so often interviewed.

Some of my interviews are worth more than others. The latest one with Nima on Dialogue Works is one that I have high confidence in its truth.  This is an important interview due to Nima’s provocative questioning.

People in the Western world are accustomed to threats being confined to external enemies, such as the Soviet Union and today Putin’s Russia, China and Islamists in Iran. But the real threat to the West has nothing whatsoever to do with these countries. The threat to the West is internal in the structure of Western ideas that have been unfolding for a century and that demonize the existence of the western world as a racist collection of white supremacists who exploit and suppress people of color. This narrative creates hatred both internal and external of white Western Civilization. It destroys white self confidence and deprives white ethnicities of the ability to defend themselves. The demonization of Western Civilization is institutionalized in Western education............more...........

 mr peters compares the costs of real food with grocery store stuff;

Everyone who buys food knows that food costs a third to twice as much as the same food did just five years ago. But real food costs the most now. That is, single ingredient foods such as butter (just butter, not “butter” with canola or some other oil) and meat that isn’t plumped up with injected brine from an animal fed genetically modified corn. Cheese that is just cheese – without sawdust to add bulk (and yes, they do that).

In my area – SW Virginia – an 8 ounce pack of Kerry Gold Butter is hard to find for much less than $6. The seed oil-laden stuff sells for about half that. A pint of cream without carrageenan from cows not injected with bovine growth hormone costs close to $7 now. A grass fed (not “finished”) steak that you could buy for $8 just a couple of years ago now costs $12. Eggs that weren’t laid by battery hens that never saw the light of day or ate a single blade of grass also cost about $6 for a dozen – about twice what they cost not that long ago You can still buy “eggs” – if you want to call the sad, runny, barely-yellow-yolked things that are laid by battery hens – for about half that. But do you want to eat them?..........more ...........
