The US government is simultaneously (A) justifying Israel’s land grab in Syria by saying the nation has been taken over by terrorists, and (B) talking about removing those same forces from its list of designated terrorist organizations.

The US podium people have pivoted seamlessly from celebrating the liberation of the Syrian people in the removal of Assad to citing the fact that the nation is now overrun with terrorist factions in defense of Israel’s rapid move to militarily occupy large swathes of Syrian land while hammering Syria with hundreds of airstrikes.

At a Monday press conference, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said these moves by Israel “are temporary to defend its borders” and that Assad’s ouster “potentially creates a vacuum that could have been filled by terrorist organizations that would threaten the state of Israel and would threaten civilians inside Israel.”

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) was assaulted by a “pro-trans man” on Capitol grounds Tuesday evening, according to posts to Mace’s social media accounts. Capitol Police informed reporters a man had been arrested for “assaulting a government official.” Mace posted that her arm was injured, requiring a brace and some ice.

Mace drew the ire of transgender activists for waging a successful campaign last month to bar transgenders from using women’s bathrooms in the Capitol complex in the wake of the election of Democrat transgender Tim “Sarah” McBride to the House.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced the policy on November 20:

“All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex. It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol. “Women deserve women’s only spaces.”

Trump border czar Tom Homan recently spoke to a crowd in blue Chicago and was met with cheers and applause as he described how deportations were going to start right there in the Windy City.

Homan was speaking at an event sponsored by a local law enforcement group and the audience may have leaned a bit to the right but you have to take the location into account. Chicago is not known for being a Republican stronghold.

Over the last year, there have been numerous videos showing inner city residents who are absolutely livid about illegal aliens being moved into their neighborhoods. There are plenty of people in the city who want what Homan is describing.

There has been some limited press coverage about recent Salt Typhoon — a Chinese cyber / hacking operation — but most Americans are oblivious about what has transpired. The story is simple. Following Edward Snowden’s escape to Russia and the release of damning evidence that the US Government was spying on Americans, the US Department of Justice pressured the telecommunications giants — i.e., Verizon, ATT and T-Mobile — to create a backdoor in their network software that allows Federal law enforcement to read texts and listen to calls on classified apps. If you are using WhatsApp and think you are safe from the government’s spying eyes, think again.

Sometime before the November 5 Presidential election, the US intelligence community discovered (or learned?) that the Chinese had hacked the “backdoor” and have had full access to all US Government-issued cell phones that use a classified app for text and voice communications. A knowledgeable source told me that the compromise started in 2022 and was only recently discovered.

What does this mean? All conversations / communications over the commercial networks are (or were) being read / recorded by China. My source described the Chinese hack as something akin to the Brits, with help from Polish and American cryptologists, breaking the Enigma machine and reading classified German military traffic.
