Joe Biden said he would not pardon his son, but he did. Pardons reside with presidents and governors and are supposed to be used to correct an injustice or when a service has been done by the pardoned person that offsets the harm of the offense that is pardoned.  But pardons are often used for non-legitimate reasons, such as Bill Clinton’s pardon of Marc Rich and Clinton’s half brother, Roger Clinton.  Bill did not pardon Roger until after Roger had served his sentence.  Rich, however, an international fugitive on the FBI’s ten most wanted list, was apparently pardoned in exchange for political donations and donations to the Clinton library.  Donations continued for 15 years after the pardon. Biden’s pardon of his son occurred prior to Hunter’s sentence and before a day was served.  No doubt that many a mother and father wish they had the power to grant their son or daughter a pardon.  It is disturbing that Biden pretends that the charges against Hunter were politically motivated and designed to hurt President Biden, as if the FBI and DOJ committed to Biden’s protection would act against him.  The charges were protective of Biden and were brought in order to get the focus off the more dangerous information in the laptop.  The politically motivated charges were the ones brought against Trump. But I don’t really blame Biden from using his power to save his son from prison. In a way it shows Joe Biden more committed to his son than to his reputation.  You can see the pardon as a conservative act as protection of the family is the basis of society.  But in our society so is equal standing under the law, which took a hit from the pardon...........more...........

President Biden signed a pardon for his son Hunter Sunday after the younger Biden was convicted of federal gun charges and federal tax evasion charges earlier this year, the outgoing Democrat announced.

Biden, 82, claimed he was taking the controversial action after he watched his son being “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.”

The about-face comes after the president, who played a recurring role in the Chinese and Ukrainian business relationships involved in the tax case, previously claimed he would not offer a pardon for Hunter, 54.

One can tell they’ve won the argument with the communist/Democrats when the communists start asking how much it’s going to cost. Liberal government just doesn’t factor that in, unless all other methods of coercion has failed. In this instance it’s akin to being donated a liver, but stopping the transplant to ask how much it’s going to cost. That amount, by they way, is a heck of a lot more than if it doesn’t happen.

We know that it costs somewhere around $400 billion to keep the criminal aliens in the country. They need housing, food, clothing, transportation (usually flights for which they don’t have to go through TSA or buy a ticket). They don’t assimilate, they live largely in compartmentalized zones or areas where they can speak their native tongues and engage in commerce without exposing their criminal status or being emboldened in it. They send most of their largesse at the pain of the taxpayer to their native land to pay for others to come and reap the same rewards. And yes, I did call them criminal aliens. As they have so long protested that no one is “illegal,” they’re right, they’re criminal. They have already committed a crime to get into the U.S. and many of them committed another crime to vote in the election, because that’s what Biden’s caravan organizers told them to do. They are likely to be driving unregistered, uninsured vehicles, because why do that if there is no penalty to be suffered? Hell, they’re allowed to kill and rape American citizens without having to post bail before they’re again walking the streets to find new victims............more........

Neocon warmonger John Bolton had strong words for President Trump’s excellent pick of Kash Patel to head the FBI.

Bolton appears to still be bitter after President Trump fired him from his position as National Security Advisor in 2019.

Trump said at the time he “disagreed strongly” with many of Bolton’s suggestions.

“I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week,” Trump said.

Since then, Bolton has taken any opportunity he can to whine about Trump, his policies, and now his choices for the new administration—an administration Bolton will thanfully be nowhere near.

In reacting to Kash Patel’s excellent nomination to lead the FBI, Bolton, using his elitist, wonkish ivory tower style, compared Patel to Stalin.

Bolton said, “Trump has nominated Kash Patel to be his Lavrenty Beria. Fortunately, the FBI is not the NKVD. The Senate should reject this nomination 100-0.”

Beria was a Soviet politician and one of Joseph Stalin’s secret police chiefs.

Vice President-Elect JD Vance responded to Bolton’s tantrum and fear-mongering with fire.

Vance posted on X, “John Bolton has been wrong about everything so I guess Kash must be pretty awesome.”...........more........
