An official with the Federal Emergency Management Agency was "removed from their role" and is under investigation after the Daily Wire obtained a leaked internal message in which they ordered workers to bypass the homes of Trump supporters as they surveyed the damage caused by Hurricane Milton in Florida.

In the leaked message, a FEMA supervisor told workers to "avoid homes advertising Trump" as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to find residents who may qualify for federal aid.

The supervisor, Marn’i Washington, told workers both verbally and in a group chat to avoid Trump supporters' homes, multiple government officials told the Daily Wire.

"When we got there we were told to discriminate against people. It’s almost unbelievable to think that somebody in the federal government would think that’s okay," one of the employees told the outlet, adding that it was wrong to discriminate against Trump supporters when they were at their "most vulnerable."......more........

I will happily give you clear arguments for why I am skeptical: Trump's transition team lead says RFK will not actually have a role at HHS, and will only have access to vaccine data, contrary to what was promoted publicly. Last time Trump was in office, he extensively deregulated GMO crops and plants. JD Vance, Vivek and Musk are deeply invested in biotech, including biotech "health" products like mRNA vaccines, which Trump supported last time via Op Warp Speed and has yet to issue a public apology for his Covid-era policies. Speaking of those policies, Trump let Larry Fink design Covid-era fiscal policy, which saw the US print more $ than at any point in history and which began even before a pandemic was declared and it resulted in a massive transfer from Main Street to Wall Street. Trump campagined in 2016 on regulating Wall Street and bringing back Glass Steagall but he further de-regulated Wall Street instead, helping to create the 2023 banking crisis that began w SVB. Trump campaigned as "loving" WikiLeaks but then let Mike Pompeo plot to imprison and murder Assange and refused to pardon Assange but pardoned financial criminal Michael Milken instead. The guy responsible for going after Assange, Pompeo, is still in Trump's good graces and one of his top aides is now in charge of picking staff for Trump's new State Dept. Trump didn't start any new wars, but he didn't need to because 5 were already happening, some of which he greatly expanded and he dropped more bombs than Obama, he had a bunch of neocons in his cabinet and tried to coup Venezuela (which would have exacerbated the current migrant crisis) and killed an Iranian general on a diplomatic mission in an obv attempt to goad Iran into war. If you were to ask an American to name a corrupt country, he would most likely pick one from what we used to call the third world. To a great degree, this is how we now define the term “third world”. It simply means corrupt. First world countries have transparency and the rule of law, while third world countries are opaque, and the rules are not always clear to the citizens of those countries. These days it is not unusual to hear Russia or China called third world, for example.

This is one of those legacy ideas from the 20th century that evolved with the times rather than following the Cold War into the history books. As a result, our rulers tend not to think much about the corruption in American society. It is just assumed, as it was in the Cold War, that Western countries are largely free of corruption, mostly due to the honesty of Americans, while the rest of the world is riddled with corruption. It is a form of the old good guy – bad guy view of the world.

The thing is you can quite easily make the case that America is one of the most corrupt countries in the world now. Today is election day and most Americans assume the vote counts will be corrupted with fake votes generated by the people who support things like mail in voting, drop boxes and ballot harvesting. In popular government, voting is the key to its integrity, but in the world’s greatest democracy, most people assume the vote is as corrupt as anything that happens in the third world.

The countries that holds elections, even the ones we still call third world, require voters to cast their vote in person and show that they are a citizen. The burden of proof is on the voter to show they are entitled to vote. In America, this basic safeguard has been corrupted through many schemes like mail-in voting, drop boxes and bans on voters showing their government identification.
