 election musings from caitlin with much to offend any who need to be so affected;

It is perfectly valid for the American public to express outrage over Trump’s declaration of victory, but the entire American media and political class forever lost all legitimacy to condemn a nation’s leader for illegitimately crowning themselves by backing the Venezuela coup.

Watching Democrats’ inability to handily defeat a crazy reality TV host in two elections is like seeing someone pick a fight with a six year-old girl and getting their ass kicked, then coming back with a bunch of their friends and watching them all get carried off on stretchers.

All the hours of post-electoral analysis you’re about to hear are just mental gymnastics to avoid confronting one very simple fact: that the way the Democratic Party has been securing funding is incompatible with securing votes. That’s the only correct answer to the question of what went wrong for the Democrats this year. They court wealthy donors who in exchange demand policies which hurt ordinary Americans. Ignore all answers besides this one.

It’s not because of inadequate outreach to this or that demographic. It’s not because of racism. It’s not because of being too “woke”. It’s not because of the Electoral College or gerrymandering. It’s because Democratic donors advance interests which hurt the Democratic base, which naturally makes the base disinclined to vote for them...........read more.......

america has become a potemkin state and here is some evidence;

This country produces nothing and the economy is a shell game of massive proportions.

The people that do produce are primarily middle-class, middle Americans. They support the shell game by farming, producing products to build homes, concrete, steel, etc.

If you piss off the remaining people who produce things, which in turn generate taxes on such income and goods, and they decide they are done doing those things because they have less or no say in how they can operate, then they stop producing.

Where is all the money going to come from for Obama Phones, Obama Care, Medicare, Social Security, EBT/SNAP and Section 8 housing vouchers?

Do you think our Techno Overlords are going to foot the bill? Will Bill Gates pay for it? How about Bezos? Dorsey?

Who is going to buy all that crap on Amazon when everyone is broke? The next amazing whatever fucking gadget no one needs from Apple?

The Left envisions some kind of weird utopia where everyone just does whatever they want, every day, all day, not having to actually show up and produce anything. Where you just go through life with zero purpose.........read more.......

 i don't like either party or candidate but i agree with pcr's thoughts herein about a stolen election;

A Stolen Election?

Paul Craig Roberts

When I turned in last night, President Trump had comfortable leads, considering the amount of votes counted, in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennslyvania, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.  I had noticed and was puzzled by the halt to reporting of voting in these states.  It did not seem to me, based on previous elections, that Trump’s margins could be overcome by the few votes remaining to be counted.  I assumed Trump had won.

This morning when I checked I saw that Trump’s lead in Wisconsin had been replaced by Biden’s lead by a fraction of a percentage point, and that Trump’s lead in Michigan had been reduced to a fraction of a percentage point, since lost.  I also noticed that neither Pennsylvania, North Carolina nor Georgia had managed to count any more votes with most votes counted and Trump in the lead.  The halt of vote counting  is puzzling. It suggests that authorities were waiting to see how the vote went.

It really makes no sense for people in Michigan, who have severely suffered from the American Establishment’s offshoring of their manufacturing jobs to Asia, thereby destroying the economic wellbeing of people in Michigan, to prefer Biden, the Establishment’s candidate over Trump, their champion. I wondered if this was yet another example of dumbshit insouciant Americans being unable to act in their own interest.  But I dismissed this thought and looked for other explanations.

What I found was astonishing.  During the early hours of November 4 in both Wisconsin and Michigan there was a sudden vertical upward adjustment to Democrat votes, and every one of the approximately 150,000 newly found votes was for Biden.  This sudden ballot dump accounts for the lost of Trump’s lead in Michigan and Wisconsin:  http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=61890  ...........read more........

 like i been saying, and here comes more evidence;

Via: Ron Paul Institute:

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently admitted that lockdowns cause more harm than good. Following this announcement, one would have expected American politicians to immediately end the lockdowns. After all, the WHO ‘s pronouncements are considered infallible, so much so that social media sites silence anyone who dares challenge the great and powerful WHO. Yet, governors, mayors, and other government officials across the country are ignoring the WHO’s anti-lockdown position.

Instead of admitting that the lockdowns were a mistake, many in the political class, which includes a disturbing number of medical professionals whose positions and prestige depend on government, claim that we cannot return to normalcy until a coronavirus vaccine is in wide use. This suggests that people among the majority of Americans who do not wish to be vaccinated will remain under lockdown or be forced to be vaccinated against their will.

The assault on our liberty will not end with deployment and use of a vaccine. Moncef Slaoui, the chief adviser of the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed, a “public-private partnership” in charge of producing and delivering a coronavirus vaccine, has said that those who receive a vaccine will be monitored by “incredibly precise … tracking systems.” Slaoui has also indicated that tech giants Google and Oracle will help the government keep tabs on the vaccinated individuals. So, the vaccine program will lead to an increase in government surveillance!.....https://www.cryptogon.com/?p=59896

 eleven minutes with richie from boston speaking of our upcoming winter and the potential situations we may be encountering;

 mr smith has titled this essay: the imperial presidency and as you read you may discover things you hadn't known about all of 'our' government;

Regardless of who holds the office, America's Imperial Project and its Imperial Presidency are due for a grand reckoning.

While elections and party politics generate the emotions and headlines, the truly consequential change in American governance has been the ascendancy of the Imperial Presidency over the past 75 years, since the end of World War II.

As commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the Constitution grants the President extraordinary but temporary powers in wartime. With the power to declare war granted solely to Congress, this dangerous (in the Founders' view) expansion of Executive power was tolerated because it was temporary and necessary in the fast-moving emergency of war.

Congress has declared war a total of five times, while U.S. armed forces have been deployed in conflicts 300 times. So in 295 conflicts out of 300, the president had sole discretion. Various stamps of Congressional approval of these wartime powers have been given over the decades, but these are more for show than actual limits on presidential powers.

The extraordinary powers granted to President Roosevelt in World War II did not expire at the end of the war. Rather, the powers of the presidency expanded along with the National Security agencies which rose to unprecedented power in the Cold War era of 1945 - 1991. The entire alphabet soup of the National Security State--CIA, NSA, DIA, etc.--serve the president, not Congress, which has been relegated the role of toothless oversight.

Historian Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.'s 1973 book, The Imperial Presidency , introduced the term Imperial Presidency into the American lexicon.

While historians have documented the rise of Executive power at the expense of the legislative branch and pundits have wrung their hands over this concentration of vast, often secret power in the presidency, nobody within the status quo has addressed the core reason behind the rise of the Imperial Presidency: America's Empire requires a CEO/Emperor as a simple operational reality.........read more......
