The Coen Brothers must be writing Nancy Pelosi’s script now, a kind of Macbeth update set in a swampy Potomac lowland at Halloween time: Madam Speaker rides her fabled scepter up in the night sky, around the capitol dome, across the moon’s laughing face, to the White House, trailing vapors of hatred and malice as she curses the Golden Golem within. Her mask matches her designer frock, woven of cobwebs with dark strands of enmity. Her hair is perfect. Her flight-path not so much, as the Golem below easily shoots her down through the oval office window with a rubber band and a paper clip and she augers, smoldering, into the rose garden… Fade out….

Well, tomorrow is here, and exactly the hour this blog regularly gets posted is when Mrs. Pelosi aims to announce her latest scheme for ousting Mr. Trump: perhaps a bill for some kind of new 25th Amendment commission to work around the inconvenience of the law as currently configured, that is, an executive branch prerogative. The stunt has two purposes: 1) to paint Mr. Trump as unfit — a song as old and boring now as I am Woman, Hear me Roar — and 2) to put up a smoke-screen diverting voters attention from her obdurate refusal to compromise on the latest Coronavirus relief bill.

The paranoid hysteria on display among the Party of Chaos suggests that those polls showing Ol’ White Joe Biden up twelve points may just be more media dis-info. The purpose: to claim, when the time comes, that the President won reelection by some kind of subterfuge, and justify an all-out post November 3rd Lawfare offensive to challenge the ballots in every swing-state, and do exactly what they are blaming Mr. Trump for in advance: confounding an orderly resolution of the peoples’ will.

Is it possible that some Democratic Party voters begin to suspect that the party officials running this game have lost their minds? A good signifier, of course, is the ghostly figure carrying their battle-flag, Mr. Biden, the Flying Dutchman candidate whose mind slips in and out of fog-banks as he navigates the shoals of defeat. Why did the Party ship out with him on the poop-deck? My guess would be: to deflect indictments of himself and many other former officials as the steady flow of documentary evidence gets released by new DNI John Ratcliffe, including a batch this past week showing pretty incontrovertibly that everybody and his uncle in the Obama executive branch was keenly aware that RussiaGate was a Hillary campaign ploy and allowed themselves to be weaponized into the scheme — under the assumption that she couldn’t lose and they’d never be found out.......read more......

If you’ve ever wondered why there isn’t more outrage over the dangers of pesticides and herbicides, even as environmental consciousness seems to be rising, the answer is simple: Manufacturers like Monsanto have entire departments devoted to discrediting journalists who expose their corrupt ways and paying off Google to censor search results.

A report from The Guardian exposed how Monsanto, now owned by Bayer, operated what was known as a “fusion center” to gather intelligence on journalists who dared to speak the truth about their products. One of their biggest targets was Reuters journalist Carey Gillam, who has done some excellent reporting on the links between Monsanto/Bayer weedkiller Roundup over the years. She now works as a research director for U.S. Right to Know, another target of Monsanto investigations.

The firm reportedly paid Google to promote search results criticizing her work when people searched terms such as “Monsanto glyphosate Carey Gillam.” The company also strategized to put pressure on Reuters, saying they needed to “continue to push back on [Gillam’s] editors very strongly every chance we get.”

They also launched a concerted attack against a book Gillam wrote prior to its release, Whitewash: The Story of a Weed Killer, Cancer, and the Corruption of Science, drafting talking points that third parties could use to criticize her work and instructing farmers and other industry customers on how they can post negative reviews about the book.

“I’ve always known that Monsanto didn’t like my work … and worked to pressure editors and silence me, but I never imagined a multi-billion-dollar company would actually spend so much time and energy and personnel on me. It’s astonishing.” Gillam told The Guardian. She said that her book received a slew of negative reviews on Amazon just after it was officially published and many of them repeated identical talking points....read more........

C'mon folks, let's cut the crap.

Masks don't work because they can't work.  Even worse, those who claim they do and have done "studies" have intentionally lied to you.

I'll prove it using nothing more than what's in your house right now.

I want you to find something made out of plastic or with a finish (e.g. painted, etc) on it.  You can use your car in the garage if you'd like.  You may need to wax a small part of the vehicle or other surface, so you'll need a small amount of car wax.

Have a nice, clean surface and, if it's a painted or "worn" surface, wax it.

Put some water on it.  You will notice the water beads.  This is why you used the wax; you want the surface tension of the water to cause it to break into drops.  These are droplets, just like what you're claimed to be filtering with your mask -- except they're a lot larger.

Now just let the surface sit undisturbed and observe it every 10 or 20 minutes.

What happens?

The droplets get smaller over time as they evaporate until eventually they are all gone, right?

Where did they go?

You'll recognize A Hard Rain Is Going to Fall as a cleaned-up rendition of Bob Dylan's classic "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall". Since the world had just avoided a nuclear conflict in the Cuban Missile Crisis, commentators reckoned Dylan was referencing a nuclear rain. But he denied this connection in a radio interview, stating: "...it's just a hard rain. It isn't the fallout rain. I mean some sort of end that's just gotta happen...." ( Source)

Which brings us to the present and America's dependence on the sandcastles of monopoly, corruption, free money and a two-tier legal/political system. You know, BAU--business as usual. A hard rain's a-gonna fall on these sand castles because, well, the end of unsustainable stuff has just gotta happen, as the man said.

Here's the problem with monopoly, corruption, free money and a two-tier legal/political system: they impoverish and diminish everyone who isn't an insider or in the top 10% Protected Class, as these are institutionalized forms of legalized looting: monopolies and cartels raise costs by smothering competition, corruption is a hidden tax on everyone not at the feeding trough, free money devalues the dollar, robbing everyone forced to use it, and a two-tier legal system enriches the few (corporate criminals never go to prison) and undermines the social contract via blatant unfairness and lack of justice.

As for the two-tier political system: monopoly, corruption and Fed free money have undermined democracy. Regardless of who wins the election, lobbyists and billionaires will still dominate the day-to-day business of political pay-to-play........read more.......
