 the trump plan promises us more 'diversity' in our small towns;

 Donald Trump has twice campaigned promising to keep “low-income” housing from entering suburbs and rural areas.

Last weekend, the president betrayed his voters once again by refusing to either sign or veto the 21st Century Road to Housing Act. This allowed the bill seeking to build state-subsidized favelas in suburban and rural locations, passed by huge majorities in both parties, to automatically become law.

The Road to Housing law is a collection of 56 sweeping provisions purporting to massively expand available housing drawn up by a bipartisan marriage of Reaganites (French Hill) and “Woke” Democrats (Maxine Waters) in the House, and Tim Scott and Elizabeth Warren in the Senate.

Major reforms include the repeal of several environmental and design regulations that white middle class homeowners have historically relied on to block low-income (read: minority) housing in their communities, mandates the expansion of small-dollar lending and minority-owned community banks (traditionally more likely to finance questionable mortgages), massively increases available Section 8 vouchers (a federal subsidy that pays private landlords on behalf of low income tenets), and directs real estate corporations and hedge funds — who are banned from buying single-family houses under the bill — to build apartment complexes that are only for rent instead............more.........
