The following BBC report is ostensibly balanced and objective but it makes a crucial omission, which alters the context of the event entirely.

For while the shooting was taking place in Jerusalem, Israeli forces shot and killed FORTY PALESTINIANS in Gaza.

At the time of writing the BBC had yet to mention this crucial background detail.

This one omission is crucial as it enables the media to portray the Israelis as innocent victms. Rather than caualties in a conflict in which civilians on both sides are being targeted. Ed.
