Los Angeles is in the midst of its own Mostly Peaceful Historic Occasion. Actually, the “protesters” who have been burning Waymo driverless taxis while waving Mexican flags have prompted a new euphemism for that type of action: “just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn.”

Watching cars burn, looting high-end stores, throwing cinderblocks off overpasses at federal law enforcement officers — the normal high jinks of mischievous high-spirited youths, especially those rambunctious youngsters of La Raza, Antifa, BLM, and various communist organizations.

And let’s not forget the SEIU (Service Employees International Union), which provides some of the shock troops for operations such as the one currently underway in Los Angeles. Sundance at Conservative Tree House has done extensive investigative work on the historical background and organizational structure of the SEIU. It’s an example of the way government employees’ unions almost inevitably turn into bastions of communist activism, especially at the leadership level.
