When I first read that Joe Biden awarded George Soros the Medal of Freedom, I had to double-check to ensure it wasn’t satire. I could honestly see this type of headline on a site such as Babylon Bee. But it was real. And it was absurd, especially when one understands why this award was created in the first place.

The Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian award in the United States. It is meant to recognize people who have made “an especially meritorious contribution to (1) the security or national interests of the United States, or (2) world peace, or (3) cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”

Using his billions of dollars and his tentacular Open Society Foundations, Soros has been meddling in the affairs of countries around the world, including the United States. And, at every step, he directly opposed the United States’ security and national interests.
