A Dramatic Change in the Correlation of Forces

Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey are complaining about Israel’s occupation of parts of what was formerly Syria.  Turkey is hypocritical as Turkey has occupied parts of northern Syria for eight years.  The US occupies the oil area of what was Syria.  The US and UK describe Israel’s occupation as self-defense and temporary.  

The media, including Russia’s, continues to misinform, describing the US/Israeli overthrow of Syria as a “Syrian rebel takeover that toppled the Assad family’s 50-year rule.”

Of course, no such thing happened.  The Syrian Army had already defeated the “Syrian democratic opposition” and could easily have done so again.  The problem was that the Syrian Army stood down.  It did not fight.  It abandoned without a fight all the main cities, including Damascus. Clearly, the Syrian generals were paid not to fight, and for money they sold out their country, which is now to become part of Greater Israel........more..........
