larry johnson covers several items in this post;
Two names — Michael Whately and Lara Trump — signal we are seeing a new Donald Trump. What? Yes, Whately and Ms. Trump are the new co-chairs of the Republican Party. Gone is the establishment darling, Ronna McDaniel, who has been an unmitigated disaster during her time helming the RNC. So why is this significant? During the 2016 and 2020 campaigns Trump ignored the need to gain control of the Republican Party. He was too trusting, too naive. By replacing McDaniel, Trump is sending an unmistakable message that he is taking control of the Party apparatus. That’s what I mean when I pose the question, “are we seeing a new Trump.”
We will get another clue when Trump names his nominee for Vice President. Here is my prediction. Trump will not select an active member of the Senate or the House of Representatives. Why? If he made that choice, say Senator Tim Scott or Congressman Bryon Donalds, he would be putting a strain on the ability of the Republicans to secure control of the Senate and/or the House.
As a side note, the Republican prospects for taking control of the Senate are strong. Two current members of the Democrat caucus — Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Senator Krysten Sinema of Arizona — are resigning and Republicans are favored heavily to take those two seats.
So, who will Trump choose? The two most talked about possibilities are Dr. Ben Carson and former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. I think Carson is too old. Yes, he’s younger than Trump but having another 70 plus year old dude on the ticket will feed the senior citizen meme. So, I’ll leave it to you, the commentariat, to tell me and the rest of the readers who you think Trump will choose.
I did a short video commentary on this. Please subscribe to my new BitChute channel........more..........
