pcr hasn't approved of the putin approach to the ukies and still doesn't now. a good example is the russian ships getting attacked by the empire should have resulted in confrontations that weren't;

“We tolerate these idiots in power in the hope that they will ‘come to their senses’ and finally (if only out of self-preservation) defend Russia from external enemies — but the further things go, the more these idiots behave like cowards, while continuing to profit shamelessly from the difficult and unsuccessful war they themselves are losing.

“So why should anyone respect us as a country? Who would genuinely ally themselves with obvious losers?”
