i've never felt a smidgen of threat from any foreign country. i've felt and seen lots of threats from those who pretend to operate this country. close vs far away; 

 

As right-wingers, statists, and interventionists celebrate the deadly, destructive, illegal, and unconstitutional Israeli-U.S. intervention against Iran, it’s important to recognize what else they are celebrating, even if unwittingly: the solidification of the destruction of our own liberty as Americans at the hands of our own government. That’s because their intervention against Iran produces the renewed threat of terrorist retaliation, both here at home and abroad. That threat, U.S. officials say, requires a fortification of the entire war-on-terrorism apparatus that accelerated the destruction of our freedom after the 9/11 attacks.

In other words, they have to continue keeping us “safe” from the very dangers that their interventionism produces. And that, of course, means more tyranny here at home for the indefinite future.

This is how foreign interventionism works hand in hand with the U.S. national-security state apparatus to solidify federal control over the American citizenry. By producing the threat of terrorist retaliation with foreign interventionism, they can justify the continuation and expansion of these two evil and malignant tumors on the American body politic — i.e., the national-security state and foreign interventionism — by telling us that they are just keeping us “safe”— safe from the dangers that these two malignant tumors continue to produce...........more.........
