Many reports have indicated that the U.S. and Israel have been attempting to persuade Russia to alter its stance on Iran, particularly when it comes to Syria. Just last month, national security officials from Russia, Israel and the U.S. met for a rare summit which focused solely on Iran.
While this may have been a tense situation for Iran to watch from the background, it appeared that Russia was never really on board with the proposal directly from the outset.
For example, Russia decided to reframe the talks with a focus of “stabilizing Syria” as opposed to making the entire situation about Iran. Russia’s Security Council head, Nikolai Patrushev, openly said it would push for Iran’s interests to be respected, stating that “Iran is in Syria at the invitation of the legitimate government and is actively involved in fighting terrorism.”
For various reasons, Russia is unlikely to concede to the U.S. and most media outlets are likely not to venture into why, even when it comes to the question of Syria. As one analyst has summarized this issue, the US-Israel position on Iran is “wishful thinking.”
Amid recent tensions and a potential standoff between the U.S. and Iran, it should be clear that the U.S. and Israel have unsuccessfully swayed Russia from changing its tack with regard to Iran at all—at least as far as the international public should be concerned.
Approximately a month ago, a senior Russian diplomat said that Tehran “won’t be alone” if the U.S. decides to strike Iran. Yes, the harassment travelers in American airports are forced to undergo for security, or, as some people call it, “security theater,” can become worse. Travelers already arrive early to stand in long lines before having their carry-on baggage inspected and their bodies scanned by machines of questionable safety.
In some cases, travelers are frisked. All this despite there being no reason to suspect the particular travelers have committed or will commit a crime. “It’s all for your safety,” a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employee may say if asked why the mass harassment occurs day in and day out.
Yet, there can always be more harassment added to the mix. Don’t be surprised if travelers in America one day are required to answer questions presented by a computer avatar before they can take a flight, or maybe a bus or train ride. Suppose the connected computer program determines some of your answers are not truthful, then no travel for you or, at least, no travel without you being subjected to additional scrutiny. That is the nature of a program now being tested in Europe.

A lawyer for one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims fears that a “hit” has been put out on Epstein’s life that will prevent him from implicating powerful people who are complicit in the sex trafficking of girls and young women.

Spencer Kuvin doubts that Epstein’s recently sustained jail injuries were a suicide attempt, telling the Sun, “I question whether or not it was a true suicide attempt that Mr Epstein was involved in in jail or whether or not there may be some powerful people who just don’t want him to talk.”

Kuvin questioned how Epstein could have choked himself, adding, “There’s no doubt in my mind that no jail will protect you when there’s powerful people that want to reach you – wherever you are.”

Even if Epstein is kept away from the general prison population, “there are still people who can get to him, ultimately,” warned Kuvin.

Kuvin speculated whether Epstein would “survive” to make his upcoming trial, comparing the situation to the 1959 Profumo affair, where socialite Stephen Ward was put on trial for procuring young women for the British elite but killed himself before the verdict was announced.

“We know that Mr Ward, who was involved in that affair and the procurement of women for some notable people, was given bail and committed suicide while out on bail – so it’ll be interesting to see whether or not Mr Epstein attempts again to get out on bail and if he does whether he survives between now and the date of his trial,” said Kuvin.

In the latest violation of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, Israeli authorities on Monday issued a summons for a 3-year-old child to be brought to the Jerusalem police station for interrogation.

During an invasion of the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-‘Isawiya Monday night, Israeli forces stormed the home of 3-year old Mohammad Rabi ‘Alian, and handed a summons to his parents for him to appear the following day for interrogation about possible stone throwing.

At the time of the summons, dozens of Palestinian residents of al-‘Isawiya accompanied the small boy to the interrogation center, holding a protest outside while he headed in to be interrogated by the Israeli police.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society called for an investigation into the incident, which they called a blatant example of the occupation’s criminality against children.

The head of the Commission, Maj. Gen. Kadri Abu Bakr, condemned the Israeli occupation authorities for summoning the 3-year old child, stressing that the occupation is committing open and clear crimes against minors.

Abu Bakr added that Palestinian childhood is in grave and constant danger in light of the silence of the international community towards Israeli violations of international law and the global convention on childrens’ rights.

He stressed that the Israeli occupation authorities have stepped up their targeting of East Jerusalem during the last few years. It was noted that there is an organized campaign against Jerusalemites in particular, and the arrests of Jerusalemites have escalated.

This is in the context of the Israeli E1 Jerusalem Plan, which outlines the planned expansion of Israeli colonial settlements in a ring around East Jerusalem, in an attempt to depopulate Palestinian neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, and annex the entire area into what is now Israel by using military force and the forced transfer of the indigenous population. This plan was announced in 2003, and has been carried out in the 16 years since then using numerous violent tactics.

Earlier, Moscow called on the Dutch-led team investigating the July 2014 downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine to focus on an impartial analysis of available data. Malaysia’s prime minister has called the team’s latest claims a politically-motivated witch hunt against Russia.

Dutch investigators refused to accept potentially groundbreaking new material in the MH17 case from German private investigator Josef Resch, and did not account for his material in their presentation on the case last month, Resch has said.
According to the investigator, his material was rejected by the Dutch-led Joint Investigation Team (JIT) after he asked to make it public.

Resch said his materials included important new information, including audio recordings about air traffic in the area on the day of the incident, recordings of the communications of Ukrainian servicemen, recordings related to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s flight from Brazil to Moscow on the day of the crash, personal recordings of pilots about the incident, and other evidence.

None of this information was used in JIT’s June presentation, which reiterated earlier claims about MH17 being ‘downed by a Russian-made Buk missile’, the investigator said.

“Our highest possible security, if it can be guaranteed at all, can be ensured with a public statement, along with the disclosure of information to the JIT and the prosecutor,” Resch insisted, clarifying that he wants to see a public disclosure of his information out of fear for his life after receiving multiple death threats for his research.

The investigator said he was prepared to reveal the name of his source to JIT investigators, and provide them with other important information, including alleged secret documents previously thought destroyed containing the notes of unnamed high-ranking officials and politicians, and intelligence agents, as well as “extra documents” whose contents he said he could not discuss out of concerns for his safety.
The JIT has yet to to respond to Resch, while Dutch prosecutors wrote him a letter saying his offer would be “taken into consideration,” but adding that his request to make the information public was “very unusual” and capable of “damaging” the probe. Prosecutors advised him to appeal to German prosecutors instead.
In the letter, seen by Sputnik, Dutch prosecutors told Resch that he could send his material to the JIT via a special online form.
Resch has been investigating the MH17 disaster since 2014 in his capacity as a private investigator.

MH17 Case

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was downed on 17 July 2014 while en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur over an area of eastern Ukraine mired in civil conflict as a result of the Maidan coup in Kiev in February of that year. All 298 passengers and crew aboard the plane, most of them Dutch nationals, were killed.
The Ukrainian military and authorities in the self-proclaimed Donbass republics blamed each other for the tragedy, with eastern Ukrainian militias saying the did not have access to the kinds of anti-aircraft missiles that could down an airliner, or the personnel to operate them, while Kiev, the US and several European powers rushed to blame Russia, before an official investigation could even be launched.
The Netherlands set up a Joint Investigative Team to probe the MH17 case, but refused to allow Russia to join despite Moscow’s repeated offers to help. JIT concluded that the airliner had been shot down by a Buk missile, supposedly from a launcher belonging to a Russian anti-aircraft missile brigade ordinarily stationed in Kursk, near the Ukrainian border, but refused to share concrete evidence to corroborate its claims.
Russia conducted its own investigation, concluding that MH17 was downed by an older version of the Buk missile manufactured in 1986 and fielded by Ukraine, with Russia phasing out its stocks of the missile in a military modernisation program in the 2000s. Russia’s probe included extensive studies of forensic evidence, as well as the previously unprecedented declassification of previously secret information about advanced military hardware, and a complex experiment by defence concern Almaz-Antey, maker of the Buk, to determine who shot the plane down.
Last month, following the publication of JIT’s latest claims, which included the naming of three Russian nationals and one Ukrainian national as suspects in the case, Moscow slammed the accusations, and once again called for an unbiased investigation. Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow could only recognise the results of a probe if it was able to participate in it. Twelve Palestinians and four British observers were injured badly enough to be hospitalized. The British reported that they were “stamped on, dragged by the hair, strangled with a scarf and pepper sprayed by Israeli border police.” One who was hospitalized described how Israeli soldiers dragged him by his feet, lifting him up, and kicking him in the stomach, while one soldier stamped on his head four times “at full force” before standing on his head and pulling his hair. Another suffered a fractured rib after “[the policeman] then stamped on my throat and others started punching my torso. It was a sadistic display of violence…”

The U.S. Corn Ethanol Industry, the largest in the world, is now losing a serious amount of money producing unprofitable biofuel.  While the situation for the ethanol producers was bad in 2018, due to losses stemming from falling margins, it’s even worse this year.  This has prompted one of the country’s largest ethanol producers, ADM – Archer Daniels Midland, to sell some of its ethanol assets with the possibility of spinning off its entire ethanol business operation. 
While higher corn prices and falling revenues have negatively impacted the U.S. Ethanol Industry recently, that is only a small part of a much bigger problem. You see, the EROI (Energy Returned On Investment) for corn-based ethanol, is so low, there’s virtually little if any, net energy produced from the 16 billion gallons of the biofuel supplied by the U.S. industry last year… or any year prior.
IMPORTANT NOTE:  Please understand my analysis of the U.S. ethanol industry is focused at the macro-economic level and is not directed at the individuals or companies who are doing the best to their abilities.  The main problem as I see it is that the leadership today is not providing the market with wise advice on our energy situation.  Instead, we are ignorantly heading over the energy cliff without a care in the world.  Unfortunately, this will end badly

He has previously predicted $10,000 gold and $400 silver with no reliable date as to when that happens . Now he is also predicting in his latest book that the dollar will no longer be the world’s reserve currency.
That will mean we can no longer print I Owe You Nothing Federal Reserve Notes to buy free things for free from overseas so that American voters would not realize that the Elite had decided to cut their wages and raise their rents by allowing unlimited legal and illegal immigration.
The proposed Mar a Lago Accords would be similar to the Plaza Accords of 1985 and the Louvre Accords of 1987 which lowered American living standards. They were agreements reached by the G-6 nations that lowered the value of the US dollar making it possible to absorb tens of millions of immigrants by guaranteeing everyone a job even if at a lower wage.
The high value of the dollar meant that Washington DC could sell Treasury bonds overseas so they could pay the wages of 31 million federal, state and local government workers who were immune to the influx of immigrants.
President Obama did something similar to devaluing the dollar in Obamacare. From 1998 to 2011 we added 44 million people to America’s population through legal and illegal immigration and their offspring. But the total number of hours worked remained constant at 196 billion hours. Locally,  a black woman who was a fast food restaurant manager explained to her crew that none of them would ever get to work 40 hours a week. The investigator should try to disprove, rather than prove, each of the alternatives. One key to identifying the kinds of information that are potentially most valuable is to ask yourself what it is that could make you change your mind. This simple tactic would do much to avoid surprises.

Some choose their opinions based upon what they wish to believe rather than as a result of exploration. As in, my friend thinks like this or my father always thought that. What we think of as accurate evidence for our viewpoint often depends more upon prejudice than facts. We take in information and process it according to our personal biases. It becomes: I know this issue. I have studied it. I have a personal involvement with the issue therefore I know it well. It is worth no more than any other option, but the psychology of "owning" the issue makes us value it more. Information that is consistent with our existing thinking is perceived and processed easily.  If you decide to respect someone or believe something you can not doubt yourself even when contrary evidence appears.

Why do we do the things we do? How can two people, or even large groups, look at the same set of facts and come to such widely different
conclusions? Maybe even more important would be to ask why? Is there some bias involved? We have a tendency to believe what we want to believe. We seek information and draw conclusions consistent with what we want to be true. When people draw conclusions about political events, they're not just weighing the facts. Without knowing it, they're also weighing what they would feel if they came to one conclusion or another, and they often come to the conclusion that would make them feel better, no matter what the facts are.

When everyone is thinking the same no one is thinking. Groupthink is often characterized by: An inclination to study too few possibilities, lack of serious review of other's ideas, selective information gathering, no planning for possibilities and rationalization. The group has a fantasy of immunity and shared morality, true feelings and beliefs are suppressed, and censors may be chosen to protect the group from negative information. Some people repeat manufactured thoughts with no evidence of having reasoned them thru. Neither the right nor the left looks at problems without prejudice or searches for all the necessary details. I think a great deal of your viewpoint has to do with your environment. We tend to go on our emotions and most recent input. And those emotions can be influenced by the crowd we run in. That is why it is so important to read those who disagree with you. You may simply to wish to believe something is valid. We all too often find "facts" to fit our stories rather than letting our stories be dictated by the facts. It’s as if being able to disprove one of my assertions will cause the others to disappear.

Confirmation bias is the inclination of people to read material which reinforces their present views. They associate with people who agree with them and who think like them. So their biases are constantly confirmed. The antidote is to read material, and associate with people, who do not agree with your views. It is more important and profitable to learn why you are wrong than to hear why you are right. Knowing anything at all takes an investment of time and energy. People that spend their whole lives getting to know something rarely admit that the time was wasted. Once invested in an idea, a religion, a stock, or a career a man can't help but believe in it. He damns the man who questions his thinking. If he has the power to do so, he burns him at the stake.

Most want a cozy society with both security and meaning. They want a framework of known, satisfying, personal relationships where they would be surrounded by others equally satisfied and no challenge to the status quo. Then they insist that their myopic or narrow vision must be universalized.

Why is it that when someone feels insulted by you they automatically assume you intentionally chose to do so. They never, it seems, consider the possibility of misunderstandings. To be unpopular in school is to be actively persecuted. Popularity is only partially about individual attractiveness. It's more about alliances. To become more popular, you need to do things that bring you close to other popular people, and nothing brings people closer than a common enemy. Attacking an outsider makes them all insiders. If it's any consolation to the nerds, it's nothing personal because the group of kids who band together to pick on you are doing the same thing, and for the same reason, as a bunch of guys who get together and go hunting. They don't actually hate you. They just need something to chase.

Mother knew instinctively what the keepers of the castles have always known: the kind of trouble that might threaten the symmetry of a well ordered garden needs time to take root. Take away the time and you choke off the problem before it begins. Obedience reigns, the plow stays in the furrow and things proceed as they must. When you get a person to emerge into life, away from his dependencies, his automatic safety in the cloak of someone else's power, what joy can you promise him with the burden of his aloneness?
You don't have to be a psychiatrist to confront this irregularity. I have spent my journalistic life attempting to tell people things that will help them understand what is really happening around them. Yet the closer I have come to succeeding, the more resistance I have found. For some, even asking hard questions is a suspect activity. After all I am stealing their scarecrows.

Acceptance is more useful than anger and more realistic. Anger owns you without recourse.

Watch your thoughts, they become words.

Baytown, TX — Baytown Texas police officers are under investigation following allegations of police brutality and unnecessary use of force after savagely beating a man for having antibiotics. Earlier this month, Kedrick Crawford was targeted by officers for merely looking “suspicious” in a gas station parking lot. Fifty years ago Rachael Carson wrote a book that got a lot of attention: Silent Spring. It seems the answer to her these days is: We’re not sure, so why stand in the way of ‘progress’, when concerns are raised about chemical processes being let loose in the world? Who benefits, what’s the blowback, and why aren’t those questions raised as we spread unknown chemical ‘solution’s’ all around us. ‘Our’ president recently signed an executive order letting loose on ‘consumers’ any chemical creation ‘our’ food industry cares to sell in the face of the problems with GMO creations like gluten difficulties and behavioral problems in children, let alone blowback like dying honey bees. Monsanto has been convicted in several courts by juries convinced that roundup causes cancer which hasn’t slowed the worldwide broadcast of those poisons a bit.
GMO Foods were imposed on Iraq by Paul Bremmer right after he took control of Iraq in 2003. You might ask why the Empire takes such actions, but you won’t.
It’s the same with Syria, Iran, nuclear energy and a host of other things going on around us almost un-noticed. You’ll claim you had no time to investigate, do anything different, because you’re busy with school, work and family. So, distracted, you accept all that government ‘sells’ trusting all you’re told. Each ‘emergency’ is treated as the TV/government recommend. The unspoken thought seems to be ‘speak no evil scenarios’ different from the TV script because someone won’t like it which could make you un-popular. How many lies will you accept to avoid being called unpatriotic?
‘Our’ rulers attack any evidence that doesn’t follow the party line as conspiracy theory especially concerning vaccines, GMO food, or the Empire’s serial invasions/crimes. False flags make sense for someone who needs concealment for some criminal enterprise. If you’re going to start a war, you want to look like the innocent bystander to get the support of ‘consumers’.
The crimes continue because it serves those in charge. Voting changes nothing. Locally we’ve voted against taxes and ‘projects’ but somehow they seem to happen in spite of ‘our democratic processes’. Nationally you can see the same things as we vote against war and get more wars anyway. The mango Mussolini speaks about attacking Iran without the required congressional declaration of war or any real reason, as if such legalities mean anything, anymore, in our Orwellian empire. Oakland, CA — More than a year after four cops publicly executed Joshua Pawlik, the Oakland Police Commission has recommended that the officers involved be fired. The commission cited the officers’ use of a light which was shined into the sleeping man’s face to deliberately confuse and blind him before they killed him as the defining moment in their decision. Since officers Brandon Hraiz, William Berger and Craig Tanaka as well as Sgt. Francisco Negrete, all opened fire on Pawlik that day — killing him — they have continued to enjoy their paychecks and jobs with the Oakland police department. Now, however, that may all change.
According to KTVU, the commissioners, who comprise a civilian-led body to oversee the police department, wrote that termination was the recommended “appropriate discipline” for all the officers. In addition, the commission recommended a demotion for Lt. Alan Yu, who was found by Oakland police superiors as well as the department’s federal monitor, to have “failed to properly perform his duties” as the incident commander that day.
Naturally, the police union disagrees and calls the move to fire four cops who executed a sleeping and disoriented man “politically motivated.”

Washington, where I shortly will be for a bit, is crazy. It has not the slightest, wan, etiolated idea of what is going on in America. The Democrats are fielding as candidates a roster of middle-school clowns and unflavored tapioca. Are they secretly in Trump’s pay? Like Clinton with her “Deplorables” suicide line?

Probably the Russians are behind it.

But…can the Dems be serious? They’ve got to be drinking the Kool-Aid. We have Kamala Harris, a colored woman who is in favor of busing. This means sending white children forty-five minutes each way to violent fifth-rate schools where they will be bullied without mercy and come away hating blacks. She thinks parents will put her racial enthusiasms over the welfare of their kids. Not gonna happen, Kamala gal.

Kamala says we need more integration. Why? What good is it? Who is going to vote for it? Do not people avoid it like hemorrhagic tuberculosis when they have a choice?

The entire screwy list of adolescent canditatorial hamsters favors reparations for, oh god, slavery. We will never hear the end of slavery. Like the liver of Prometheus, slavery is a resource never depleted.

We have let the government’s evil-doing, its abuses, power grabs, brutality, meanness, inhumanity, immorality, greed, corruption, debauchery and tyranny go on for too long.
We are approaching a reckoning.
This is the point, as the poet W. B. Yeats warned, when things fall apart and anarchy is loosed upon the world.
We have seen this convergence before in Hitler’s Germany, in Stalin’s Russia, in Mussolini’s Italy, and in Mao’s China: the rise of strongmen and demagogues, the ascendency of profit-driven politics over deep-seated principles, the warring nationalism that seeks to divide and conquer, the callous disregard for basic human rights and dignity, and the silence of people who should know better.
Yet no matter how many times the world has been down this road before, we can’t seem to avoid repeating the deadly mistakes of the past. This is not just playing out on a national and international scale. It is wreaking havoc at the most immediate level, as well, creating rifts and polarities within families and friends, neighborhoods and communities that keep the populace warring among themselves and incapable of presenting a united front in the face of the government’s goose-stepping despotism.
