Israeli Casualties Continue To Mount Under Relentless RPG Strikes

As a former Special Forces soldier with extensive combat experience I can say that the last place I would want to be in the Gaza conflict would be an Israeli tank.
That’s because all that heavy armour only offers the illusion of protection. In reality, an IDF tank is a potential death trap.
Apart from being large, high value targets for Palestinian fighters armed with rocket propelled grenades (RPG), heavily armoured IDF tanks like the Merkeva also act as virtual execution chambers for their crews.
Literally hundreds of Israeli armoured vehicles have been taken out since the current round of hostilities began on Oct 7, 2023. Every one of those vehicles would have seen its occupants severely injured of killed.
That’s because every time a Palestinian RPG accurately hits an Israeli armoured vehicle, particularly a heavy tank, the warhead injects a red hot piece of metal into the crew compartment. The size of a medium size bolt, this then ricochets around the crew compartment ripping the occupants to shreds.
There is no escape for those inside and they will be lucky to get out without being seriously injured or killed.
The Palestinian RPGs are proving equally as effective against buildings too. This weekend saw another two IDF Special Forces members killed when a Palestinian RPG hit the building they were in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.
Meanwhile, the conflict is escalating on Israel’s northern border with Hezbollah and again, RPG’s are playing a key role.
As the video below illustrates, drones can also carry the same warheads carried by Rocket Propelled Grenades. Regardless of how the warhead is delivered however, the same deadly consequences will ensue.
