State Legislators in West Virginia have just introduced a bill, authored by Gun Owners of America, that would authorize the State to sell machineguns to citizens.
Currently, newly manufactured machineguns are banned for civilian ownership thanks to an amendment slipped into the 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act.
Known as the “Hughes Amendment”—named for Representative William J. Hughes, a Democrat from New Jersey—this amendment banned all civilian ownership of machineguns made after May 19, 1986.
While machineguns made and registered prior to the ban date can still be transferred, the law of supply and demand has created a massive disparity, as most ordinary Americans simply cannot afford these much sought after items...............more...........

The health secretary described Trump’s order as protecting national defense and the nation’s food supply, stating that Trump inherited the current agricultural system and that his administration is shifting from it without destabilizing the food supply.
“We are accelerating the transition to regenerative agriculture by expanding farming systems that rebuild soil, increase biodiversity, improve water retention, and reduce reliance on synthetic chemicals, including pre-harvest desiccation. Known as the PEACE Act, which stands for People for the Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions, the measure could potentially ban hunting, fishing, livestock slaughter, and animal testing, according to Fox 12 Oregon.
People who support the petition say “it’s about recognizing animals can feel pain and updating state law,” a News Watch 12 story explained.
But opponents of the act, such as Amy Patrick, of the Oregon Hunting Association, say if it passes, this legislation could have catastrophic effects on “ranchers, coastline economies, and wildlife management,” as per News Watch 12.

It seems clear that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has disrupted Trump’s negotiations with Iran about nuclear weapons by interjecting in the middle of the negotiations another demand–that Iran give up its missiles and its alleged proxy forces.
Netanyahu’s demand is obviously intended to ruin the negotiations as the demand clearly would prevent Iran’s ability to defend itself from Israeli attack. From the beginning Netanyahu has been determined to force the US to war with Iran, and that is the purpose of his demand that the deal with Iran includes the military disarming of Iran.
We see this in the news reports that the Trump regime is now considering whether the deal with Iran should also extend to Iranian missiles. Iran is willing to agree not to produce nuclear weapons, but cannot possibly agree to disarm itself of conventional weapons, especially after US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee recently acknowledged that Greater Israel is an ongoing Zionist project.
If Iran has the Chinese battle control system that former British diplomat Alastair Crooke described, a US attack on Iran could result in an American defeat, the loss of aircraft carriers and US military bases in the area as well as heavy destruction of Israel. Why would Netanyahu expose Israel to this risk? Could it be that he bets that an American defeat would lead to demand for revenge on Iran and the US would finally do what Israel wants and nuke the Iranian nation, thus removing Iran as a barrier to further Israeli expansion?...........more.........

Trying to figure out what Trump and Netanyahu are going to do vis-a-vis Iran is like trying to read tea leaves in a monster hurricane. Let me start with the facts, i.e., what we know to be true:
- The United States has moved a massive amount of combat air assets into the region, along with support aircraft and maintenance technicians… This is on a scale last seen in 2003 prior to the invasion of Iraq.
- The logistics and air bridges are still in full swing, with no sign of slowing down.
- Air Force planners prefer to conduct air operations (a nice euphemism for starting a war) when there is no or very little moonlight (I know, I know… With modern avionics a moonless night no longer provides the guaranteed protection that was the case 30 years ago). The next cycle of no moonlight falls in mid-March. If planners get their way, there will be no attack until mid-March.
- Oman announced today that the US and Russian mediators will meet this Friday to continue indirect talks with Oman playing the role of mediator.
- Donald Trump is under enormous pressure from Israel, as well as Christian and Jewish Zionists, to launch the attack as soon as possible, and from military leaders who fear that an extended deployment will degrade US capabilities to carry out a successful operation against Iran unless action is taken as soon as possible.
- At the same time, President Trump is getting a strong push back from Arab and Muslim leaders in the region to avoid using military force against Iran and to secure a negotiated agreement.
- Donald Trump’s proposed attack on Iran is strongly opposed by more than 70% of US voters.
- Iran remains willing to make a deal that will guarantee it is not building a nuclear weapon and will limit enrichment of uranium to levels that cannot produce fissile material needed to construct a bomb.
- Russia and China have provided Iran with an unprecedented level of military equipment and intelligence. Did that fact compel the US to step on the brakes and work out a deal with Iran?..........more........

Eldridge Cleaver was a high-school-dropout convict who educated himself in prison, poured out his tortured soul behind bars, and burst onto the scene with a best-seller that quickly sold millions of copies. Many years ago, I picked up an old, damaged copy but never read it. Until now.
I wanted to see what was “radical” back when we still talked about “Negroes.” White critics raved about Soul on Ice, just as they rave about today’s black stars, such as Ta-Nehisi Coates or Ibram Kendi. Have blacks learned anything? Have whites?
First, though, Soul on Ice is not the work of Eldridge Cleaver alone. His lawyer, Beverly Axelrod (1924–2002), is said to have heavily edited it, so you can never be sure whether you are reading Cleaver or Axelrod. There are, however, ideas that I can imagine coming only from the mind of a black man.
Cleaver was born in 1935 and his family moved to Watts, California, in 1946. He had barely started junior high when he was arrested for stealing a bicycle. There were also arrests for vandalism and selling marijuana — lots of marijuana — and he was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in Soledad State prison. That was in 1954; Cleaver was just 19. He got out in 1957 but was back in prison the same year, and he stayed until he was paroled in 1966 at age 31. President Donald Trump late Wednesday signed an executive order intended to boost domestic production of glyphosate.
Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller. Bayer, which acquired Monsanto in June 2018, is facing tens of thousands of lawsuits from people alleging Roundup caused them to develop cancer.
Trump’s order also grants legal immunity to domestic manufacturers of products containing glyphosate when manufacturers are ordered, under the Defense Production Act of 1950, to produce the products.
The Defense Production Act is used in national emergencies to compel the production of materials or supplies necessary for national security.
Bayer is the only company producing glyphosate in the U.S. However, U.S. farmers also import the chemical from China, Reuters reported.
The executive order also applies to elemental phosphorus, used in weapons production, electronics and batteries. Elemental phosphorus is also used to make glyphosate.......more..........

The end of World War II was only the beginning of the destruction of Germany. The Americans took over the German educational system. The control permitted Americans to determine the curriculum and write the textbooks. The American control of German education was used to instill guilt into Germans for being German. They were taught that the Third Reich was an offense against humanity made possible by German nationalism. Every aspect of the Third Reich became indefensible. Any form of German nationalism became suspect of a Nazi revival.
The Morganthau plan proposed that Germany be turned into an agricultural country with no industrial or manufacturing capability. Some actually proposed castrating German men in order to rid the world of a German population. To some extent this had already occurred from the widespread rape of German women by Russian, British and French troops. The American troops had coffee and chocolate and later in the occupation silk stockings. This allowed the Americans to acquire mistresses, and they did not have to resort to rape.
The rapes resulted in impregnation and a postwar race of Germans of mixed blood. Many German man were killed during World War II and according to John Wear’s book, Germany’s War, General Eisenhower under the influence of war propaganda allowed one million German POWs to die of starvation and exposure. Postwar German political leaders have encouraged the overrunning of Germany by immigrant-invaders from the third world.
