Putin’s “peace” negotiator, Kirill Dmitriev educated at Stanford and Harvard universities, tells Putin that “great progress” is being made. As this is music to Putin’s ears, he believes it.

Steve Witkoff, an American real estate developer and Trump’s “peace” negotiator told President Trump and Trump’s cabinet at a meeting on national television that

“The Ukrainians actually said that we’ve made more progress since Geneva than they’ve seen in the last four years of that conflict. . . . Lots of good things happening between the counterparties discussing the land deal. We have a security protocol that’s largely finished, a prosperity agreement that’s largely finished.” As this is music to Trump’s ears, he believes it. And apparently so do dumbshit commentators.

But is it true?

How can it be true when the Russian foreign minister says he has not seen the security guarantees that Washington is talking about or the entire 20 point plan that is being promoted by Witkoff and Dmitriev.

The next day on January 30 Zelensky announced publicly that Ukraine’s claim remains on Donbas and the former Russian provinces that Putin has re-incorporated into the Russian Federation. “No territorial losses” declares Zelensky. How is there any agreement when  Zelensky does not accept any territorial loss? What are Dmitriev and Wikoff talking about?

Are Trump and Putin being had?

The only way an agreement can be reached is by Trump and Putin sitting down together and hammering it out. This has not been done. There will be no agreement until this is done. The entire process, lacks seriousness.

National race antagonist, Don Lemon, a former CNN anchor, was arrested last night in Los Angeles. Lemon’s arrest comes after he helped organize and coordinate a group of agitators to attack a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota.

American and Russian negotiators continue to proclaim that progress is being made and a final agreement on Ukraine is almost ready.  But Russian foreign minister Lavrov says that the Russian government has not seen the security guarantees that Washington and Kyiv are talking about. Lavrov says Russia has not seen the entire 20-point plan that is being promoted and that he is yet to see a list of the rights that are to be given to Russians who continue to reside in Ukraine.

I hope the Russian foreign minister is not being cut out of a deal negotiated by Kirill Dmitriev, an agent of the Russian oligarchs, and Witkoff, an agent of American monied interests.

Throughout the entire four-year process, Putin has shown far more interest in an agreement than have Washington, Europe, the UK, and Zelensky. Has Putin’s enthusiasm for an agreement convinced his adversaries that Russia can be short-changed?  After having so strongly championed an agreement, will Putin have to accept whatever is handed to him or else be demonized as the obstacle to a peaceful settlement?

Most people don’t care what it’s called, but for the purpose of defining the problem so we can identify course of action steps to combat it, it’s necessary to define what’s happening in Minneapolis.
