 a very good kunstler friday with some suggestions we'd like to see especially in the sense of the old magazine versions. this epstein bridge is one that cheeto is gonna die on, or not, to some degree, depending on what happens next;

"It may be time the FBI's New York field office gets paid a visit in the style it's very well accustomed to doling out." Mike Benz

Turns out new Attorney General Pam Bondi was a little off the mark earlier this week when she said the Jeffrey Epstein files were sitting on her desk. Actually, it was a six-hundred-pound tar-smeared hairball with a gift tag that read: “To Pamela Jo from her Friends in Blobville, good luck untangling this!” Well, she did tell Fox News host Jesse Waters that the thing sitting on her desk was “disgusting.”

As promised, those Epstein files were released on Thursday — a measly two-hundred pages — to much chagrin and embarrassment for all, since the material turned out to be the same old lists and flight logs that every blogger and his uncle has already put out on the Web for years — say, what . . .?

But then the plot thickened later in the day when AG Bondi said a whistleblower informed her that the New York office of the FBI and their counterparts in the Southern District of NY (Manhattan) DOJ offices were hiding “thousands and thousands” of pages evidence and other stuff (videos? photos?) they had been sitting on for years.

AG Bondi quickly fired off a letter to brand-new FBI Director Kash Patel demanding that the New York FBI office deliver all that stuff to Washington by eight o’clock in the morning today (Friday). If you were Mr. Patel, rather than waiting until morning, wouldn’t you just take a twilight ride up the Jersey Turnpike from Blobville to the Big Apple with an FBI swat team and bust into both the FBI and DOJ offices there. . . and maybe frog-march a few federal employees onto the street like so many grannies caught praying in front of an abortion mill?..........more.......

 i am not impressed by the bondi show so far;

I’m going to skip the nonsense Pam Bondi keeps feeding the gullible masses about the Epstein “information”, or whatever she is labeling it this time.  Instead, I am going to highlight the purpose of Pam Bondi through a very simple observation:

Why is United States Attorney General Pam Bondi on Fox News every day?

The answer is because she’s performative, not substantive.  Just as she saw her primary job in Florida as managing public perceptions, she is doing the same as United States Attorney General.

To the extent that she needs to lie, manipulate, spin, twist and conflate narratives in order to manage public perceptions, she will do that. It’s not hard to see.  She facilitated the manufacturing of false witnesses in Florida and was perfectly willing to watch a transparently innocent man go to prison.  Everything is through the filter of performance.

I expect absolutely nothing from this person. Nothing.  However, I welcome the brightest spotlight she can assemble to bear on herself.  Let the world watch, learn and see exactly who Pam Bondi is.

The three amigos are Bondi, Patel and Bongino.  I hope they are super successful, and I hope everyone watches all of their accomplishments with great interest.........more............

 hoping to impress, pam bondi didn't;

I will simply repeat that I hope everyone continues watching Pam Bondi’s unfolding mess in great detail. It’s going to get a lot worse as the issues get more serious.

Attorney General Pam Bondi delivered a failing performance today with a ridiculous theatrical “Epstein Binders” exhibition delivered to White House assembled “influencers.”  [They look like idiots]

A group of highly followed people from social media, were apparently recruited by someone in/around the orbit of Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt to visit the White House. I’m told the undiscussed agenda was to introduce the influencers to JD Vance, as part of the preliminary operation for Vance ’28 [Similar to Pushaw and DeSantis in ’22].

Attorney General Pam Bondi, always looking for the best performance for public imagery, took the opportunity of their visit to give the influencers an exclusive insider series of “Epstein Files” custom printed in a binder for them. However, the Epstein files delivered are nothing more than simple documents already in the public [Online pdf].

After talking for the past several days about her intention to reveal explosive Epstein files, Bondi way overpromised and severely underdelivered.  Then again, when it’s a performance, that tends to happen. But wait, it gets worse….......more........

larry johnson wants to make sure you know that you can't polish a turd;

I thought the phrase “you can’t polish a turd” originated with the British or US Navy. For you non-native English speakers, it means that you cannot improve something which is inherently or unalterably unpleasant or of poor quality. After doing additional research, one of the earliest recorded uses is attributed to Geoffrey Stokes in his 1977 book Star-Making Machinery: Inside the Business of Rock and Roll, where it is used in the context of music production. The phrase gained popularity and became widely recognized in various contexts, often used humorously to describe futile efforts to improve something fundamentally flawed. That summarizes Keir Starmer’s meeting on Thursday with Donald Trump.

Here is how the British media portrayed the results of the meeting.

The Times of London:

Sir Keir Starmer won concessions from President Trump on trade and British plans to return the Chagos Islands to Mauritius but failed to extract key commitments from the president on the future of Ukraine.

After more than two hours of talks in the White House, the prime minister said that they were working on a “new economic deal”, which the president said could happen “very quickly”..........more.........

BEIRUT – It’s about 1:30 pm on Sunday, 23 February. Inside Beirut’s vast Sports City Stadium, at least 100,000 people clad in black and draped in yellow resistance flags pay their respects as the caskets of the late Hezbollah secretary-generals Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine begin to make a slow turn around the arena.

Suddenly a triangular formation of Israeli F-15 and F-35 fighter jets pierce the skies, buzzing the stadium as low as aeronautically possible. In any other nation, on such a somber occasion, this would have been an aerial tribute for the ceremony taking place on the ground.

But this is Lebanon – a nation under pressure by the usual suspects, whose national army is prohibited from purchasing high-tech jet fighters and any meaningful air defenses. So the Israeli aerial show was, predictably, yet another provocation – one which, incidentally, instantly turned against the perpetrators.

The whole stadium – plus the more than a million Lebanese congregating around it – outroared the agent provocateurs, in a cacophony of insults and deprecatory remarks. ..........more........

Mockery prevailed, rather than rage. What are you gonna do? Bomb all of us at the same time – as you did with Sayyed Nasrallah on 27 September 2024? We’re here, and we’re ready. Bring it on, cowards.

 here are too many ukraine mineral deal problems to list here;

The New York Times reports (archived) that “Ukraine has agreed to turn over the revenue from some of its mineral resources to the United States”.

Ukraine will get nothing of value in return for it. The (former) Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski is expected to visit the White House of Friday to submit to the extraordinary extortion of his country.

The deal is imposed indentured servitude at scale:

a form of labor in which a person is contracted to work without salary for a specific number of years. The contract called an “indenture”, may be entered voluntarily for a prepaid lump sum, as payment for some good or service (e.g. travel), purported eventual compensation, or debt repayment. An indenture may also be imposed involuntarily as a judicial punishment. The practice has been compared to the similar institution of slavery, although there are differences.

Ukraine is expected to get nothing, except more war, from this agreement. As Ted Snider describes it:

Normally, it is the country that defeated you in war, and not the country that defended you, that pillages you after the war. Unfortunately for Ukraine, its biggest military defender is set to pillage its resources as the two countries have now signed a minerals agreement after Trump warned that a refusal to sign would have led to “a lot of problems” for Ukraine.

Many mistakes have been made in the war over Ukraine’s minerals: Zelensky may have made a mistake in his strategy, and Trump may be mistaken in facts...........more............

AI and the Digital Revolution Are Mankind’s Deadly Enemies

Paul Craig Roberts

Does the pleasure you get from scrolling your cell phone compensate you for the frustration from the absence of customer service?  The same digital revolution that gave you a cell phone gave the companies the opportunity to drive up profits and executive bonuses by replacing customer service with AI that is seldom, if ever, programed to answer your questions and is extremely reluctant to connect you to a superior human who knows what to do.  All of us have been stressed out trying to get problems fixed, accounts adjusted, repairs made.  My favorite AI response when I call about the internet being down is “you will get faster service if you chat with us online.”

All of us know the frustration of the constant demands to update our information, our telephone number, our email.  These endless notices always appear when we are in the middle of some activity that is inconvenient to interrupt to go tend to Internet house-keeping problems.  But if you fail to respond too often, all of a sudden you cannot get into your investment accounts, your bank account, your Internet files, because the necessary code, since passwords no longer suffice, doesn’t reach you via cell text or email because you didn’t update.  These kinds of problems are almost impossible to correct, because they use your cell phone number and email to identify you. And even if you can get a human on the phone, the person has no way of knowing who you are except your information on file........more.........

our local electronic fishwrap provided this update on hurricane recovery;

Over five months after Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina, the region continues to grapple with significant recovery challenges. While progress has been made, several critical needs remain unmet:

Job Loss due to Helene: Beyond the physical destruction, Hurricane Helene inflicted significant economic hardship on Western North Carolina. Widespread job losses due to business closures and damage exacerbate individuals’ and families’ challenges while striving to rebuild their homes and lives. In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the Foscoe Home Team sprang into action, providing essential resources to ease the immense hardship caused by widespread unemployment. From the first few days following the storm, FHT has offered food assistance, utility aid, and housing support, helping those affected stay afloat while they searched for new employment or rebuilt their businesses.

Housing Crisis: The sheer scale of destruction is staggering, estimates show over 74,000 homes either completely destroyed or suffering damage, rendering them uninhabitable. The lack of adequate temporary housing remains a major obstacle to recovery. Many not only lost their homes but their land was also taken by rivers that have created new paths in the wake of the floods.

Energy Insecurity: Widespread propane tank damage from the storm and the increased use of alternative heating in temporary housing during unusually cold weather have created a life-threatening energy crisis. The Foscoe Home Team is working tirelessly to address the crisis by providing free propane, firewood, heaters, and financial assistance for heating costs..........more.....

Elon Musk stirred up a lot of controversy by revealing the US government paid out $4.7 trillion last year without checking if it was being spent legitimately and if the person receiving it was neither a fraudster nor a terrorist. He also revealed that the US has 62 million more active Social Security numbers than people living in the US. The oldest person in the world is 116, but the US has 5 million people 140 or more years old eligible for Social Security. Many of those 62 million fraudulent Social Security numbers are used by foreigners for $3,000 plus income tax refunds on earned income tax credits.  Others might be ghost federal employees which is why he wants them to send emails to their boss. Fake employees have no boss. Prior to Musk, one postal address could receive millions of dollars in income tax refunds for a hundred different people. And government workers paid so little attention to the payee that they would allow 10 or more people to use the same Social Security number.

 In the future, every government department will have to have DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) workers to make sure that civil servants are doing things right.

 Liberal Democrats need these cuts to be made, because America could not survive with $2 trillion a year budget deficits. Of course, Republicans benefit more than Democrats from these cuts, because billions of dollars were dent back to Democrat influencers, politicians and campaign coffers.............more......

The weird thing about President Trump’s plans for Ukraine is that no knows what they actually are.

Over the last days I have tried to understand what he is trying to achieve. I fail to come up with a theory that makes sense. His behavior is inconsistent. There are also no helpful hints from the White House or leaks to the press. There is frenetic action here and there and pompous pronouncements. But what are the overall plans?

Prof. Mearsheimer likewise says (vid) that Trump’s behavior makes no sense. Blackmailing Ukraine into a resource extraction deal is not a realist position. It is not even mercantilistic. There is nothing to sell there and any deal will be scuppered by courts under oligarch pressure. It makes no sense...........more...........

Pam Bondi told Watters there are over 200 Epstein victims and the number may be 250!

Jesse Watters: One of the things a lot of people are wondering, because you said last week that you have the Epstein files on your desk, is when can we see them and what’s taking so long to release them?

AG Pam Bondi: I do. Jesse, there are well over, this will make you sick, 200 victims, 200! Well over… over 250, actually. We have to make sure that their identity is protected and their personal information. But other than that, I think tomorrow, the personal information of victims. Other than that, I think tomorrow, Jesse, breaking news right now, you’re going to see some Epstein information being released by my office.

Jesse Watters: What kind? Are we going to see who was on the flights? Are we going to see any evidence from what he recorded? Because he had all of his homes wired with recording devices.

 larry johnson doesn't think much of how the trump operates;

During my chat with Danny Davis today, I made the following point: There is a wide gap between what Donald Trump says in public and what he actually decides to do. A few weeks ago, President Trump warned Hamas to release all hostages by, “noon Saturday, or there would be hell to pay.” And we remember what happened — Hamas released four hostages per the agreement negotiated by Steve Witkoff and the United States took no action.

In public, Trump insists that Russia will have to make concessions, but concedes any peace deal must be negotiated between Russia and Ukraine. On a positive note, Trump continues to refuse to provide US forces as a security guarantee for Ukraine and says that is the job of Europe, if they choose to do so. Trump appears confident that he is going to sign a rare-earth, oil/gas agreement with Zelensky on Friday. While such an agreement serves Trump’s public relations campaign in the United States, it is worthless because Russia controls much of the territory where those resources are located in Ukraine.

Trump’s public pronouncements are at odds with Russia’s clearly articulated position: No European troops will be allowed to take up positions in Ukraine, no ceasefire until Ukraine is demilitarized, and Russia’s frozen assets must be returned.

We learned today that Russian and US diplomats are meeting in Ankara, Turkiye on Thursday. As of this writing, the names of the respective delegations have not been released. The meeting is at a working-group level, which means no principals from either side. The focus of the negotiation is the restoration of normal diplomatic relations.............more.........

 pcr is spot onwith this essay on 'our medical system';

The American Health Care System Is a Collection of Profit Centers Unrelated to Health Care

Paul Craig Roberts

We learned from the hoax “Covid pandemic” how bad the American medical system is.  It is worse than bad. It is terrible.  Americans have the most expensive and least effective medical system in the Western world.

Over the course of my life I have listened to the propaganda that private medicine is superior to socialized medicine.  Perhaps it is, but the United States has not had private medicine for decades. The prices paid for medical services are fixed by Medicare and private insurance companies and amount to far less than the billings.  Moreover, the prices are fixed in a way to eliminate private medical practice and force doctors into an employee relationship with “health maintenance organizations.” Private practice in America is being extinguished, especially at the level of family practitioners. As a matter of policy, health maintenance organizations–corporate medicine–are reimbursed at a higher rate than doctors in private practice.  This causes private practitioners to capitalize what value there is in their practice by selling out to HMOs and becoming employees subject to a manager with a MBA whose job is to maximize the profit from the medical unit.  In other words, profit maximization takes over from health care.

I have had two doctors who were forced out of private practice by the disparity in billing that favors corporate medicine.  In corporate medicine your doctor is not the boss.  He is an employee subject to being fired if he does not follow the treatments ordered by his employer.  This is the reason so many people were murdered and had their health permanently injured by the “Covid vaccine.”  ......more.......

 unprovoked? bullshit;

There's been 'shock' and disappointment among European as well as former US government officials at how the United Nations General Assembly vote went on Monday.

In something unprecedented while the Ukraine war has been on, now having reached the three-year mark, the United States voted alongside Russia to veto European attempts to strengthen language related to a resolution on the conflict's anniversary.

In total 18 countries voted against the Ukrainian-drafted resolution at the UN General Assembly that condemned Moscow and called for a Russian withdrawal from Ukraine.

Many observers thought the US would at least simply abstain; instead it opposed the motions alongside nations like Russia, Israel, North Korea, Sudan, Belarus, and Hungary.

The European-backed resolution, which was ultimately adopted with 93 votes in favor, expressed "concern over the ongoing full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation," and underscored its "devastating and long-lasting consequences for Ukraine, regional stability, and global security."

It urged "de-escalation, an immediate ceasefire, and a peaceful resolution to the conflict" while demanding Russia’s "complete and unconditional withdrawal" from Ukrainian territory.

The explanation of US Ambassador to the UN Dorothy Shea was very revealing, and marks a significant shift in perspective compared to the prior Biden admin. As journalist and war observer Dave DeCamp explains:

In remarks to the UN, US Ambassador Dorothy Shea referred to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as an “escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war” and said the conflict started “11 years ago,” referring to the war that broke out in Ukraine following the US-backed coup in 2014 that ousted former President Viktor Yanukovych.

The language from Shea marks a significant shift from the Biden administration, which always referred to the war as an “unprovoked” Russian invasion despite the history of US and NATO involvement in Ukraine.........more........

 zero hedge covers the change in trump media world as the white house now is in control of what media are allowed in the 'pool';

The White House on Tuesday announced that it's taking control of which news outlets are allowed into the press pool, and will no longer allow the White House Correspondents' Association to act as gatekeepers. The move paves the way for independent outlets to participate in the press pool - a small group of reporters that travel with and cover the president's daily activities.

"It’s beyond time the White House press pool reflects the media habits of the American people in 2025," said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who added that the goal is to give new or alternative media companies greater access to the administration, while continuing to allow certain "legacy" outlets to be in rotation.

"Legacy outlets who have participated in the press pool for decades will still be allowed to join ... but we will also be offering the privilege to well-deserving outlets, who have never been allowed to share in this awesome responsibility," she said...........more........

 caitlin continues to highlight zionist crimes;

Israel has announced that it will continue to occupy parts of Syria and Lebanon indefinitely, and that the new Syrian government is forbidden to have a military presence south of Damascus. Israel has also sent tanks into the West Bank for the first time in decades, saying they will remain for at least a year. A week earlier, Netanyahu vowed to “finish the job” against Iran with the help of the Trump administration.

The middle east is being dramatically restructured in alignment with longstanding Israeli objectives. Gaza has been destroyed and Trump is pushing a plan for permanently removing all Palestinians from the enclave, and they’re already working on doing the same to the West Bank. Syria has been wholly regime changed allowing Israel to grab up large swathes of land and strategic control. Hezbollah has been significantly weakened and Israel effectively controls southern Lebanon. Who knows what awful things they’re working on with Iran.

And I guess it’s worth mentioning as all this unfolds that there are mountains upon mountains of evidence that Israel knew the October 7 attack was coming and intentionally allowed it to happen, thereby manufacturing support for the advancement of all these agendas. Just the other day a new Hebrew Ynet report alleged that Mohammed Deif almost called off Operation Al-Aqsa Flood at the last second because Hamas noticed Israel wasn’t mobilizing against the coming attack despite their immense surveillance capabilities, suspecting it could be a trap. I hate writing in the first person but the following is really just meant to express my immense frustration with the Epstein Files™ (credit to Rudy Havenstein) hype. At this point, I have no idea why anyone in their right mind can consider the forthcoming disclosure of the documents as anything but a marketing ploy designed to coax people into believing that the deep state is being drained. While the Trump administration has markedly improved from its first term in tackling the bureaucracy of Permanent Washington compared to its first term, the exception to every rule once again has proven to be its subservience to the State Of Israel. With Epstein's all but irrefutable intelligence connections to Israel being a central dimension of the pedophile honeypot trap that he was running, scrutiny of the release of the files has to be viewed through the lens of that obsequiousness.

Cause for that concern has been amplified following statements made by a whistleblower alleging that members of the FBI have started destroying evidence related to Jeffrey Epstein that is slated for release. The whistleblower, a self-described "indefinitely suspended FBI agent" going by the name Garret O'Boyle, confirmed reports from a source he knows in the FBI to veteran journalist Michael Shellenberger that the files are being deleted..........more.......

FBI Director Kash Patel has launched an investigation into former Director James Comey’s secret “honeypot” operation involving 2 female undercover agents who targeted President Trump’s 2016 campaign, according to The Washington Times.

Last October it was revealed that according to an FBI whistleblower, former Director James Comey inserted two female agents inside the Trump campaign in 2016.

The Washington Times reported that the female agents were directed to act as “honeypots” and travel with Trump and his staff.

This was an “off-the-books” operation and was separate from Comey and Obama’s Crossfire Hurricane operation (launched in July 2016) that targeted Trump based on false Russian collusion lies.

It was later well documented that it was Hillary Clinton who had created the Russia collusion lie from whole cloth. Hillary was later fined for funding the fake Russia dossier that was used to spy on Trump, his family, his campaign, and his administration.

The whistleblower told Congress last year that the “honeypot” investigation was hidden from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, another Obama-appointed lackey for the regime.

Francys Johnson, the head of Stacey Abrams’ nonprofit The New Georgia Project, announced he is resigning from his post after the firm was hit with a massive fine for illegal campaign fundraising activity.

Twice-failed Democrat Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams created the nonprofit in 2013 to get out the black vote.

Abrams has repeatedly claimed, without providing any evidence whatsoever, that Georgia Republicans engage in black voter suppression. She blamed her previous crushing election loss to Brian Kemp on black voter suppression.

The New Georgia Project was slapped with a $300,000 ethics fine for illegal campaign fundraising in January.

“The [State Ethics Commission’s] investigation, which lasted five years, revealed that the organization raised $4.2 million in dark money and spent $3.2 million on campaign activities,” Fox 5 Atlanta reported last month.

Francys Johnson said he will be resigning from the nonprofit in a recorded phone call obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“I’ve probably done all the good I can do, and my presence is a distraction to our mission,” Francys Johnson said in a phone call on Monday according to the AJC. “It’s unfortunate, and it’s a reality I can recognize. It’s time to let the organization move forward beyond all this.”

After “training” Grok, I got the following estimate for fraud and improper payments for entitlements last year:

So, revised: fraud across all entitlements might still be $70-100 billion, but total improper payments could be $150-200 billion. Does that square better with what you’re seeing? I’ll own the fuzziness—numbers this big get slippery fast.

Let’s assume $250 billion a year. This money goes into government’s pockets, fraud on a personal level and subsidizing the collapse of the Republic with the Cloward-Piven strategy. This figure does not include funding the invasion of the country under the illegal Biden administration by siphoning money from other sources such as FEMA.

While this is a substantial figure, its impact on the national deficit of $36.5 trillion is minor. The DOGE savings as of today is $135.5 billion and the total savings realistically from DOGE is $1 trillion if Grok is correct:

The BBC did not cave in, and Israel lifted its boycott.

Twenty-five years later, the BBC has lost any semblance of a spine on Israel. Last week, it pulled a documentary titled Gaza: How to Survive a War Zone from its online streaming platform. The corporation said it would carry out a “due diligence” exercise before it could be allowed to air again.
