This morning, the Illinois Supreme Court overturned a lower court decision that struck down Gov. Pritzker’s new “assault weapons” ban. In a 4-3 ruling, the state’s high court vacated a Macon County ruling and entered a judgement in favor of the state.

Interestingly, three of the four defendants in the case donated over $1.5 million to two of the justices who voted to overturn the lower court ruling, clearing the way for the gun ban. That includes Justice Elizabeth Rochford who authored the majority opinion.....more........
